The Obama Administration knew an Al-Qaeda linked terror group took credit for the Benghazi attack before the ambassador’s body was even discovered!
The State Department watched the attack in real time.
Yet, for weeks they said it was a protest!
Reuters reported, via Free Republic:
Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.
The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.

What was so important that Obama let one of the greatest campaign opportunities in American political history go to waste? He could have had a BinLaden rerun, rescuing an American ambassador less than six weeks before an election. His unavailability that night proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he knew it was coming, he made himself scarce and whatever was planned went terribly wrong.
Hope I am doin just that. Sometimes it feels like I'm just whistlin' into the wind :)

If you really want an interesting re-tread, go look at the second presidential debate with moderator Candy Crowley. About 1:12 into the debate they are discussing Benghazi. Romney was so close to blasting the whole thing wide open in front of everybody. Obama made a last second interruption and changed the subject with the help of Crowley. I remember screaming at the TV to finish it. He could have had the election right there. But he let himself be derailed.

Interesting theory. Was the president high on weed when the call came in. Maybe he was physically unable to lead.
On “Face the Nation”, Hicks was reported as saying that the President of Libya called the assault a terror attack from the get go, and lost face when Susan Rice blamed it on that video. Hicks said Rice’s statements made his “jaw drop”!
