If your mother was pregnant with you and took a day trip to Mexico and labor pains hit and she had you there, are you a Mexican?

If the Mexican government claims children born there as Mexican regardless of parental citizenship, then yes.

Our country apparently does the same. Why would you think Mexico cannot?

Mexico follows the more modern standard concerning citizenship. The birth right citizenship based on geography is long gone from everywhere else. In any case, it was written that way in the 14th amendment just to make sure slaves were made citizens!~

I think if foreigners can prove they were slaves when they were born here it's OK, otherwise, that 'jurisdiction' clause pretty well opens the door to actually using the current world standard on citizenship if we want to.
