Teachers in rural Oregon are stunned after the local Sheriffs Department attempted to test their schools emergency readiness by sending two masked gunmen into the Pine Eagle Charter School, wearing hoodies and wielding handguns.
The event, which took place last Friday during a staff meeting of teachers, was part of a surprise drill conducted by the Sheriffs Department, aimed at testing Pine Eagles preparation for an assault by active shooters, who were in reality volunteer staff members of the school.
The volunteers fired blanks at everyone in the room, killing all but two of the teachers.
According to local media, the schools principal stated, it became clear very quickly just how many of the schools fifteen teachers would have survived. The answer: Not many.
The armed volunteers did not fear any threat of being shot by onlookers, who mistook them for being real shooters, due to the fact that the school is a gun-free zone and everyone in the room was unarmed.
The apparent goal of the drill was to demonstrate how defenseless individuals inside a school are, during such a situation.

This has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard.
At work today (Public elementary school) I posed this scenario to a teacher and the principal, asking how they would react if someone did this. Then I informed them it actually happened in Oregon. My principal was incensed at the stupidity. Aside from the physical danger of the faux shooting (someone becoming injured in the melee, or a teacher just happen to be armed, and shooting back in self-defense) what if one of the staff members had a heart condition? Some dumb-ass idiot needs to be fired for this.
LMBO!!!
You can’t make this stuff up.

2 masked gunman dead at my local school...Film at 11....*S*
Absolutely stoopit.
Blanks can kill
I was thinking of going into the local police station and testing their readiness by firing blanks at them.
Even if nobody there was armed, they were lucky someone didn’t tackle one of them and beat the crap out of them. It would take quite a while for “it’s a drill” to sink in to the person doing the beating.
I can see the lawsuit now for PTSD, night terrors, etc. What a dumb stunt. Beyond that, there could have been injuries just by resistance with whatever was at hand, hot coffee carafe, attacking the gunmen physically, and so forth.

only 2 minutes - pass it on after viewing. it is going viral ...
...counselors are now available. A team of lawyers will be available during this week’s student production of “How to Waste a Few Million” and get excellent advice from local Democratic and Union leaders on where and when to stage your next fiasco. *that’s all for now, over and out*
Pity none of the teachers were armed...
Who would’ve thought that this was a good idea??!
I’m going to hang out a shingle as a ‘Common-Sense Consultant’. Pay me 5k for an hour consultation to talk you out of your idiotic idea, or pay the 5 million in lawsuits.
That was a pretty good video.
I would like to know why those involved are not in jail for the numerous felonies committed during this “experiment.”
For example, assault, menacing, terrorist threats, violation of Title 18 USC civil rights under color of law and in the case of the school administration being accessories before the fact, or co-conspirators. And I’m sure that’s just a tiny fraction of the charges that should be brought.
Civil liability against all should run into the tens of millions.
Who will prosecute them? Who has standing to sue?
Nothing will happen to these guys. Thin Blue Line and all.
I may be overboard with this idea, but it seems to me that the sheriff’s next move is simply to tell the community that they need more officers so that they can be used to protect the schools.
To me, this seems to be nothing more than an opportunity to get more officers/money. Maybe I am sounding like a conspiracy theorist, but that’s how it seems to me.
They should go to the grocery store and throw cans of soup at people and
say nobody was prepared for cans of soup being thrown at them. good grief.
thye sure wouldn’t dare to do that in a school where teachers carried guns, would they?
One teacher with a gun would have ended that drill and proved how teachers can protect schools
