WASHINGTON (AP) One of three college students arrested Wednesday in the Boston Marathon bombings case was allowed to return to the United States from Kazakhstan in January despite not having a valid student visa, a federal law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
Authorities charged the student a friend and classmate of one of the men accused of setting off the deadly explosions with helping after the attacks to remove a laptop and backpack from the bombing suspect's dormitory room before the FBI searched it.
The government acknowledged that U.S. Customs and Border Protection was unaware that the student was no longer in school when he was let back into the United States.
The disclosure was another instance of possible lapses by the federal government in the months before the Boston bombings. The Obama administration earlier this week announced an internal review of how U.S.

One illegal comes here gets citizenship here by way of an amnesty and bang he can bring his relatives here and then they can apply for citizenship and so the snowball rolls.
Suddenly we have great masses of unskilled immigrants with no discernable means of support other than we the taxpayers.
Agreed.
Wow....that is really telling....surprised how they were able to get around student visa employment law. Guess that is not enforced either
This is even more telling...just pulled this from “Jester” tweet:

... attempting to raise money aka providing material support for terrorists.
The Two from K-stan are from wealthy families one of the attorneys is from Madison Avenue Firm in NY City...one of those “Super Lawyers”.
The other Attorney from maryland...Worked in US Government...politics etc. Founder of the firm .
The third student comes from single parent home..(Mom only)
His Attorney is from a large Not for Profit Organization....I couldn’t find much about him on line. But there’s plenty on the other two big shots.
So no doubt the wealthy parents are paying.
Just goes to show again...money does matter.
Well of course ‘money matters’ - my all time favorite line regarding money:
money may not buy you happiness, but it sure buys you options.
Thanks for the info, honestly, I’m so disgusted with all of it today. I will go read and review this all when I’m not feeling quite so dang po’d about it all.
.....”money may not buy you happiness, but it sure buys you options”....
You got that right!
Don’t let this stuff get to you....there’s little if anything we’re doing that will make any difference to the outcome with these guys.. But it sure is great being informed isn’t it?
Nope, nothing I do will change the outcome. Yes, being informed is great...thanks ~

We can track cattle better than humans....
I beg to differ.
We need to radically overhaul our immigration laws to promote the kind of immigration we want and need - not what the Politically Correct crowd demands.
Long experience has proved admitting Muslims has been a mistake. The tenets and world outlook of Islam (Sharia) are simply inimical to our Constitution and American system of law and justice. Islam is a political and cultural system as well as a "religion".
We prohibited Communists and other radicals who sought to overthrow the Constitution from entry into this country or hold sensitive positions in our government and military for many years. It was done for self-preservation, and was successful in preventing massive subversion. Political Correctness has succeeded in intimidating us from doing the same sensible policy with Muslims. It has to do with self-preservation, not bigotry.
All Muslims do not seek the overthrow of our Constitutional system, but many do. We should restrict their entry and emigration into the United States. No good has come from it, and none can. It has been nothing but trouble for us and any other country that has done it.

Interesting artice, thanks.
Speaking of ‘visas’. Our county Sheriff told me that a couple of illegal aliens they found armed, guarding cartel pot plantations in our public forests actually had US issued green cards for ‘agriculture jobs’.
All this begs to ask who are the people sitting behind the desks letting these people in despite the laws we have in place? .....And are they being prosecuted for it?
You can make all the laws possible.. but if the people sitting on the front line wave foreigners in anyway, then in it won’t make one iotta of difference what the laws are.

Agreed. And their excuses are so phony. I could handle an exit system by myself. Give me a file, calendar and a computer. Day comes the alien is supposed to be gone and he hasn’t check in, he goes on the internet with a $500 reward and gets deported forever!!
Yep!...It could be so much easier then it is.....but as usual the government makes it complicated so they can hire more people to Not follow the laws nobody understands.
I think many of these people simply make a gut decision and or get paid off to let people in. Sorta like the SAudi’s use their heavy hand on Washington.

Read the thread...thanks.
Foreigners know there are miles of “Conveyor Belts” in and out of this country...and in many cases their own people are operating the controls.
.... They step on and off it at will, for there are no consequences for doing so.
.... If sent back to their countries, at our cost, they not only step back onto the conveyor belt... but they arrange “vacations” back to their own home country by timing their capture to correspond accordingly.
