JCPenney lost nearly a third of its customers in 2012. Now, in an unprecedented move, the company is admitting it totally screwed up.
Failed CEO Ron Johnsons plan included ditching the companys popular promotions program.
Ideally, the strategy was meant to revamp JCPenneys image and appeal to young people. In reality, it alienated long-time customers, while failing to draw in new ones.

Nope, not spending any money at J.C. Penneys. They can claim their loss of business was due to silly coupons when most people who saw those 2 dads in the ad for Father's day; said that was it- to see Penneys pushing a special agenda. All of the years, their shoppers who made them what they were and in turn, they disrespected those very loyal customers. Says it all. With Soros in the company as well, I will not be shopping there, ever. If we want things to go on as usual, shop there but we must not complain that our society is becoming less respective to traditional families. We have the power with our wallets to continue sending messages of distrust. They don't even address the very issue that most were offended by.

If they put some money to support pro-traditional marriage groups to help undo some of the damage they’ve done, I’d consider going back.
But it’s complicated now that Soros is involved. Don’t want to support him. So I guess I’m in the let it fail camp too.

That Business Insider piece doesn't say anything about the "two dads" ad, but Freepers obviously noticed it.
Liberals think they are being thrillingly avant garde when they are just being tiresome, repeating the same old PC drivel. "Gay is better than straight!!!" No it isn't, and screw you.

Their ‘gay agenda’ was what tanked them. People did not appreciate it. If you are in the business to sell clothes then sell them. Don’t adopt a social agenda to push along with it. Their mothers day and fathers day circulars were full of it and people didn’t like it.

Somehow we got on the Ethan Allen mailing list. The first catalog we got was full of gay male models. The next one had none. Just beefy looking guys working in the woodworking shop. I’m interested in seeing what comes next.
