I will do everything to not let him join today and you know what, he is now thinking of not joining and the military will lose a good man.
There's so much "chicken or the egg" in this statement, it's impossible to unravel it, so I'll just let it speak for itself.
I know you won't believe this, but I'll say it anyway: the military's culture hasn't changed a lot over the years, and what has changed is mostly for the better. Now that the war is winding down, it's inevitably going to get dumber, but that's just how it goes. It's not unique to this timeframe.

It has changed, even the soldier who just got back home saw his officer in a woman s dress in the PX and like he said that was his final straw.
Getting in is easy today and BTW I still have pals serving , some getting out and they too say it’s changed even in special forces.
Too many join for the freebies and not for love of country, the while system is screwed up, training is now run in sneakers for the test.
If you don’t think PC has infested the military then so be it but I assert it has and so do many I know who are leaving, soon or have left.

You're either misinformed, or intentionally naive. My family's military service goes way back. Every generation has served since 1776. The culture hasn't changed a lot over the years? Yeah, sure, perhaps in some other country, or on another planet.
The military culture hasn’t changed? Go talk to a veteran of the military before there were day care centers.
