Washington, D.C. U.S. House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) today announced a hearing, scheduled for May 9, to examine the Boston bombings and the implications for homeland security.
Chairman McCaul: Two weeks ago, our country was attacked by radical Islamist terrorists. Four lives were lost and hundreds of others were forever changed. As our nation recovers, it is imperative that we understand what happened, what signs may have been missed and what we can improve.
The Committee is currently examining the events leading up to the attack on our homeland, the genesis of this plot and the reaction by law enforcement. Next week's hearing will provide an opportunity to hear from those who were on the front lines of the response effort and who were present through the attack and its aftermath.
This will be the first in a series of hearings, as part of a broader investigation into the Boston Marathon bombings. The investigation will look at how law enforcement addressed the area after the attack; how federal, state and local officials communicated with their counterparts at other agencies regarding the suspects before and following the event; and the challenges associated with securing our country since 9/11. Ultimately the investigation will assess how our efforts have evolved to meet the dynamic terrorist threat of foreign-inspired attacks on our soil, and what changes may be necessary to protect the homeland.

Good, let’s get to the bottom of this!
Is it possible that someone will finally ask why the Constitution was stomped into the mud on that terrible Friday when innocent and frightened citizens were treated like common criminals, driven out of their homes at gunpoint and their houses pilfered by jack booted thugs without warrants or even reasonable cause?
Will anyone ask why the search for the skinny terrorist did not begin where he left the car with scent hounds following his trail. Is that not still possible?
Will anyone ask why 9,000 cops, feds and troops polluted the crime scene?
“Good, lets get to the bottom of this!”
Not a chance. Benghazi is the model. When/if investigators start to get close to something of importance, multiple conflicting stories will be reported by the Obama media. This serves to confuse and frustrate a stupid, inattentive public. The public has no interest in anything difficult to understand, they’ll go back to facebooking and watching the Kardasians.
Breaking: 3 more people arrested over the bombing
More Kabuki Theater.
Well you never know, we have some good conservatives in the House, including one from I believe from Ak, Clinton country that took Obama to task.
Sure. But is he willing to do what must be done to prevent further attacks? (close the borders to all death cultists and expel all who are already here)
Three lives were lost. One scumbag got squished by his doofus brother. Don't include him in with the tragic loss of three innocent lives.
The fourth is M.I.T. cop Sean Collier, whose actions prevented them from escaping to NYC.
I completely forgot about him. You are, of course, correct and I was wrong.

BTW: Mesta posted that the
Benghazi hearing is scheduled for May 8
Initially, the MSM tried to portray them as nice guys for letting the Chinese driver go free because he wasn’t really an American.
Subsequent reports, however, showed that the Chinese driver was in fear for his own live and escaped at the first opportunity.
More and more likely it will happen, 3 new arrests.
