can you pinpoint where your read this home was searched because everyone kept telling me it was out of the zone and wasn’t searched.

It seems I recall something about it being searched but the storyline was that he was in the basement and then moved to the boat after the search. Maybe it was you promulgating that theory.

When I did a search all I could find was that the home was outside the search zone...until the bombshell...no it wasn’t

It seems that comment by the talking head of the Police Department indicates what you are saying is not true.

I never heard or read about him being in the basement. The home had been searched earlier in the day, according to the owner.

The stories and news reports I heard and read, all reported that the owner went outside to smoke a cig, noticed his garage door ajar, spotted bloody clothing, called 911, and the search led to the discovery of the suspect in the boat.

The Boston Globe had the most accurate coverage.

The only explanation I can think of is that the police figured he ran to a ‘safe’ house where he was being sheltered by accomplices. The area they were searching had a lot of multi-family houses, the kind a group of young male foreigners would rent.

It’s interesting that Watertown has a huge population of Armenians. NO WAY would they ever shelter a Muslim.
