Washington was born in Virginia. And the Constitution specifically grandfathers in those born before the ratification of the Constitution.
Yeah so what was the point about the endless debate about Obama’s birth certificate? His mother was born in The US and yet he still had to prove that he was born in Hawaii. This issue won’t go away.
Washington was born in Virgina, McCain was born on a US Military base in Panama. The USSC will have to rule on Cruz. IMHO he is not a natural born citizen. But he is a great Senator.

That’s the problem here. Someone gets elected and they do one or two things we agree with and all of a sudden they should be president. When Hillary and her mob or whoever they are going to have run rip into republicans and bang the “republicans are against the constitution” drums I do not want to hear it.
I said he was a fine senator, and he is. I’m going to leave it at that until I know more about him.
Washington was one of the founders and that generation was grandfathered in by the wording of the Constitution.
McCain was born of 2 US citizen parents, stationed in Panama. He was not born on the military base but a near by hospital. That was questioned seriously enough that a vote was taken in Congress to state that he was qualified. I personally think he was technically not qualified.
