Ken Livingstone goes on Iranian TV to 'blame' the U.S. for the Boston bombings

Ken Livingstone did not 'directly blame' the U.S. for the Boston bombings, Labour insisted after Tory demands for him to be axed over controversial comments about terrorism. Mr Livingstone sparked controversy by suggesting the brothers who launched the attack on the city’s marathon acted 'out of anger and demand for revenge' over American foreign policy. US-born Conservative MP Brooks Newmark wrote to opposition leader Ed Miliband calling on him to condemn the remarks, made by the former London mayor on a phone-in on Iranian channel Press TV. He called for the Labour veteran to be removed from the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) over the 'disgusting' remarks that suggested the attacks were 'justified and excusable'. But a Labour spokesman said: 'The Labour Party does not believe that US policy is responsible for the Boston bombings and it would be inaccurate to suggest that Ken Livingstone was directly blaming the US for the bombings.' Mr Livingstone said on Friday in comments on the Tehran-funded channel that were criticised in the US media: 'Very often, people get incredibly angry about injustices that they see.' Referring to 'torture at Guantanamo Bay, at Bagram airbase', rendition, and 'ignorance in the Bush White House about Islam' as well as Middle East issues, he said: 'People get angry - they lash out.'

What a good little muzzie-loving leftist. Islam's been great for London, hasn't it?

Very often, people get incredibly angry about injustices that they see.

I guess to Red Ken that would not include rigged Iranian elections, killing protesters in the streets, arresting people for peaceful assembly, stoning to death prisoners, executing innocent women, vowing to destroy an entire country and all their other little shenanigans.

Why don't these people ever go live in their beloved dictators' paradises instead of the West they so despise?

Red Ken.

I don’t know how they feel about him in Britain but I sure find Boris to be far more likable.

Usually there’s a corporate board membership at stake, and a big company trying to win business with the Persians

Given the “reasoning” Kenny is indulging in, it’s a wonder Britain has done better in Olympic gymnastics.

He has a point. We permitted a terrorist sympathizer to take power in our White House. We permitted these two terrorists to come to our country, supported them so they didn’t have any productive use for their idle hands, intentionally ignored all Islam-related terrorist warnings, and ignored pointed warnings from the Russians on specific intelligence intercepts of concern with these two terrorists who were even posting their views on Facebook. Yes, there’s some blame for America in the sense that we did so little to protect ourselves in the face of pure evil, but the bulk of Livingstone’s statement is as crazy as usual.

His loss to Boris Johnson showed that the people of London had enough of Ken Livingstone. It was Livingstone who spent £10,000 on subscriptions to the socialist newspaper, the Morning Star. It was Livingstone who spent £20,500 on one lunch for Hugo Chavez. It was Livingstone who spent £36,000 on a trip to visit Fidel Castro. And, Livingstone professed support for Islamic extremist, Lutfer Raman.
