Hehehehe... Good for her.

Yes, I have teenage girls who are fans, so I’ve listened to a lot of her music. She’s a very talented song writer. Her songs have melodies, and she covers a variety of styles.

My favorite song is, “Haunted,” her hardest rocker, and “December.”

Yes, her fans are mainly young girls, but that’s because she wrote her own lyrics as a teenager.

It looks like she is going to avoid the fate of Britney Spears and Linsey Lohan (good parenting), and because she’s so prolific, she could become one of the biggest acts in music history. I expect her to rival Streisand and Carey in the pantheon of female singers.

My teenage daughters are fans, too. I encourage them to imitate Taylor Swift’s work ethic, but not her relationship history.

My 15-year-old is better looking and has a better voice, but she doesn’t have the drive! (And doesn’t write songs.) You’d think being paid cash for playing guitar at Spanish church events would be a motivator, but no. I still have to say, “You’re doing this whether you want to or not,” when I need a guitarist. Then she gets 20 or 30 dollars for an hour, and she’s all excited, but the slacker urge is so strong ...

My 9-year-old granddaughter, an aspiring singer (lol), is a big Taylor Swift fan, so I’ve listened to my fair share of her tunes. My favorite is “Never Grow Up,” which chokes me up every time I hear it.
