Real Christians need to think about giving their money to the NFL that obviously does not welcome Christian athletes who witness to the faith.

“He who loves father or mother...or son or daughter... more than me is not worthy of me,” said Jesus (Matt. 10:37). That probably also covers loyalty to the Packers, Cowboys, Broncos et al.

The NFL does not welcome quarterbacks who complete less than half their passes.

There may be some justification for his fans to suspect that Tebow’s open displays of thanksgiving to God on the field is the real reason for him losing his job, and as a born again Christian (there's no other kind) myself I can understand that suspicion. We Christians aren't popular in today's world, and in truth we never have been. However, in his case I think there's good reason to believe what was quite obvious when Denver traded him, namely that his inability to adapt to the pro game is the real reason, and that's an entirely valid reason in the pro game.

You don’t actually watch any pro football, do you?

It may come as a surprise to you, then, that being a really devout Christian does not mean you are also a contract worthy quarterback. 2 entirely different skill sets.

Tebow has plenty of the first (devout Christian) and a deficit of the other (contract worth qb skills).

Of course, he’d have a contract in a New York minute with an NFL team if he recognized he could contribute mightily in a position other than QB.

Well, the NFL certainly hated Kurt Warner and Reggie White.
