"I am not one of your locally home grown house negroes. I dont shuffle, I dont tap dance, and I dont take out the garbage
Some of the citizens in Martinsville need to wake up because I am black. I am also a voice for black people and we are tired, we are fed up and we are not taking it anymore said Sharon Brooks Hodge, a member of Martinsville City Council, speaking to a Martinsville television reporter.

I think it is good that the students learn what people like Mrs. Hodge are while they are young.
The permanently aggrieved, the always offended, the ignorant with the Muvva complex who are constantly offended by anything except their next Government handout.
One day I hope to see an America that is finally fed up with people like Ms. Hodge. The perpetually offended. The instantly aggrieved. The racist trash black bigots, that is constantly crying and calling others racist.
Richmond ping.
I think of the hurt this woman has done to the children. Children love to be praised for the creative things they produce. What she did will actually leave a scar with them for the rest of their lives. They won’t even realize it but from now on they will see black people in a different light. The council woman just did enormous damage to her race, and to race relations.
If you look at the quilt you see the gold guy on the right, with his hands up in the air, seemingly saying 'hey come over here'. The unsuspecting black guy on the left walks over the bridge -- and note how the bridge has no support structures. Obviously it is a trap, and the bridge plunges into the water, and the black guy falls into the water -- and since blacks don't swim that well -- he drowns .... Damn whitey Gold(stein) guy oppressing the brother...I am offended.
If the black figure had been dark brown, she would at least have a little more justification. But it was completely jet black. When was the last time you saw that color used to represent black people, just as you rarely see snow white used to represent white people. It’s usually tan.
The word “black” us often used to describe black people, but not the color black.
I haven’t heard that POS name in years. Years ago when I lived near Dallas I used to fantasize about him starting one of his rants in my face.
Man you said it.
Shouldn't that bigoted criminal be in prison by now?
She is one, VERY unfortunate looking women.
I’m confused...this ‘councilwoman’ is offended over a gift of a quilt by children? That’s it?
If so, she’s just looking for something to be ticked about.
Get her out of office.
She thinks the gold figure should be crossing the bridge to HER.
They werent prepared for that. They all cried said Dr. Nina Huff, the teacher who taught the class and led the presentation
...I’m sure “Huff” is a screamin lib too so this is quite satisfying. She did her “duty” as a left wing honkey with this presentation and got her butt handed to her by a black racist lib. These idiots are all drowning in a sea of “diversity” and “tolerance”. Liberalism = no winners.
Thanks!
I'm sorry, this is funny.
Yes, Mrs Hodges was over the top. Thats funny. The explanation for the symbology of the quilt is also dim-bulbish. These are the people in charge of educating your kids.
I will no longer associate with people, whom I must walk on eggshells in order to not offend them.
Now if they leave me alone, I will leave them alone.
Near the end of the article they mention she wants to keep children segregated for education so they can continue to teach hate and division - that has to be the most disgusting part of this entire article.
Hopefully, the kids got a good education on the reality of racism.
That’s what I was thinking. If left to their own common sense, those children could learn a lesson early from this encounter. But the leftist teachers they will encounter throughout their school career will be sure to teach them to not believe their own lying eyes.
