No immigrant, having been in the country illegally, shall obtain citizenship without a term of involuntary servitude equal to the greater of (a) the amount of time they have been present in the united states illegally & w/o incarceration, or (b) one year.

Since this immigration discussion began I have been calling every congressional office i can reach. I do it all day and into the night and I also fax them. I have one issue I am trying to get a response on:
Any process for a pathway to citizenship should include cross checking voter registration roles.

I have spoken with staffers in Rubio's office three time about this and I've listened to him on every talk show that I've been able to follow. He never even mentions this important issue.

One 'conservative' host that supports the Gang of 8 asked; "If an immigrant has crossed the border illegally but lived here long enough to be a productive and law abiding citizen, even owning his own home and paying taxes how is it hurting our liberties?"

I was waiting on the line and never got on. My answer would have been "BY STEALING MY VOTE". That is my whole point about cross checking voter registration both in the past and during the application process. If a person has come here to behave and provide a better life for their family, I can understand compassionate people wanting to give them a chance at legal citizenship. BUT, if they have been participating in democrat vote fraud to put people like Obama, Pelosi and Reid in office they have continued a life of crime and should get the boot in my opinion.

Rubio's office was polite and said they'd relay the message to him. Either they didn't or it doesn't fly with Schumer. McCain's office in D.C. said they thought my suggestion would probably be seen as offensive and accusatory and would impede rather than help the discussion.
