Florida Sen. Marco Rubio went on seven Sunday talk shows to pitch a bipartisan immigration reform deal, while a handful of Republican lawmakers famous for their wacky cable news interviews can’t get any attention. An anti-immigration “gang of six” in the House is trying to stop the pro-immigration “gang of eight” in the Senate, The National Review’s Robert Costa reports, but hardly anyone’s listening. The six are cable TV favorites: Minnesota’s Michele Bachmann, Iowa’s Steve King, Texas’ Louie Gohmert, Alabama’s Mo Brooks, Pennsylvania’s Lou Barletta, and California’s Dana Rohrabacher. There were zero “anti-amnesty” Sunday show guests the week before Rubio’s grand tour. The most popular cable guests of the six — Bachmann, King, and Gohmert — haven’t been invited on cable to talk immigration in the last three months, according to Lexis Nexis. They complain the GOP isn’t listening to them either.
“The meetings of the Gang of Eight and the secret meetings in the House of Representatives — the people who have been standing up for the Constitution and the rule of law haven’t been invited to those meetings,” King tells the assembled group of reporters...
“We’ve got all the rich guys and the elitists talking to each other,” Rohrabacher says. “Unfortunately us regular folks don’t have that kind of coordination.”
The Daily Caller’s Mickey Kaus lamented last week that in the Sunday political talk shows, the networks didn’t even haul in “the kookiest anti-amnesty crackpot.” The GOP doesn’t want to hear from the kooks either.

You can always count on Grover to never be boring. About 8 years ago, I was thinking of joining ATR...I thought that was the greatest thing since sliced bread! So, I did my usual investigation, and didn’t like what I found. In 8 years of research, I haven’t really found one thing he’s done for the conservative base. Many of his associates are in jail. That’s where he should be, but instead he’s writing law, trade agreements. And we can’t even vote him out!

I pray that she goes far in politics, hopefully the Senate. I would like to see a large group of true conservatives like the group of 90 immigration caucas that Tom Tancredo assembled during the first go round with immigration.
When is he up for reelection?
I say this all the time but it is true, if you notice, the corrupt sell-outs always try to immitate the people with virtue. They try to co-opt the true patriots. What we are seeing before our eyes is what must have happened early on in our country’s history. The first generation of leaders were men with high ideals but then at some time the opportunists and usurpers began taking over until they became the majority and then they made it difficult for honorable people to enter politics. They formed political cartels with certain business interests and this political network became nation wide so it gained tremendous power and money. They became political empires.
Read what James Madison said and see if it isn’t coming true right before our eyes: “There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurptions.”
In order to take our power away they have to pretend to be us. Don’t buy the surface image (look at Rubio), look beneath the surface and look for any sign of duplicity. For my view, I think the immigration issue is a great way to read where they are coming from. The patriots want to really protect our borders and discourage those who are in the country from taking advantage of us and the sellouts care more about the interlopers than the citizens. That is because there is money and power for those who support open borders, there are votes and there is lots of cheap labor. Follow the money.
The keyword is OPPORTUNIST!
I think their called shape shifters. Politics is full of them.
