On the Friday broadcast of his HBO show Real Time, host Bill Maher opined on the police force used in Boston following the twin bombings and during the manhunt for the younger Tsarnaev brother in the suburb of Watertown.
"I want to talk about the police," Bill Maher said. "I want to talk about the police, who I am a supporter of and of course, obviously, we all are. We would be in big trouble without the police."
Maher proceeded to show images of what the police presence looked like in a urban city like Boston.
"I mean, if this is what you have, why don't you invade a country?" Maher opined. "I mean, go up to Canada, take their oil."
"You might want to call it an urban assault vehicle," Maher said of the half-track vehicle manned by the Boston Police Department.
"This country is becoming a police state and it is very troubling to me," Maher observed.

And then I want to see them come out with whatever contraband they might find there (illicit drugs come to mind)...and then they put the cuffs on him...all w/o benefit of a search warrant...and when he complains, Taz him...

Don’t worry Bill. They’re *your* police. You only have to worry when they are *ours,* which will eventually happen.
Maher almost (but not quite) makes the connection: If you build a force like that when you are in power, that force will be used against you when you are not. That’s why it’s in everybody’s best interest to keep government from getting that power, but the Rats have completely forgotten about this principle. As reward for forgetting, they will be the first against the wall.

I was actually refering to the ability to defend your home against the muzzie terrorist, not the cops.
If the cops come banging on the door, you should have the option to ask them for a warrant to enter your home. Even if they are looking for the terrorist.
Problem is, they’ve created a society up there in Boston of a bunch of sheep with no way to defend their families in times of emergency.
