Syria assumed control over Lebanon years ago, and they are a puppet regime of Iran.

Lebanon HAS an army????

Yes, it's Syrian supported by Iran.

Just like in Afghanistan and Iraq, it's Iran that is fighting us/peace/Israel

Hezbollah and Hamas both created by the Muslim Brotherhood to which Obama's #1 advisor, Valerie Jarrett belongs as a top member and who pulls the jihadist Islamic terrorist strings in Obama's muslim (Islamic rule punishable by death if broken: once a muslim always a muslim, Obama officially a muslim according to school records in Indonesia) soul.

I won't say more about Jarrett's obligation to Islam concerning Obama's fate, it will play out eventually as soon as his stint using/employing Taqiyya/Kitman/makara is over and he is of no use anymore to his Islamic terrorist benefactors.

So it’s not really a “Lebanese” army as much as it is a collection of foreign moslem militias.

Is there even a “Lebanese” identity anymore? And if so, why aren’t they kicking the Syrians out....

That’s quite a lot of misinformation you are spouting there. The Lebanese army is definately not pro-Syrian or Iranian. The Generals in the Lebanese army are Christian. They’re not friendly with Hezbollah but they can’t very well be enemies either because in reality Hezbollah is more powerful and has more experience in combat situations.
This is the same army that invited the Israeli commanders on the ground to have coffee while Israel invaded in 2006 trying to eliminate Hezbollah.

The tricky thing about Lebanon is that its practically a third Christian, a third Shiite and a third Sunni. It also has about 25% of the population as Syrian illegal workers and Palestinian “refugees”. The Sunni are your typical extremist, that would kill Christians when they get the chance(ala lebanese civil war when they joined with palestinians in fighting the Christians). The Shiites, believe it or not, actually never fought or massacred the Christians, on the contrary they were fighting the palestinians in the civil war prior to the wave of iranian influence. They also were a large part of the South Lebanese Army which was Christian and Shiite group who allied with Israel and along with Israel guarded the buffer zone between Lebanon and Israel prior to the pullout in 2000.(They were also granted asylum in Israel but I believe the majority were able to safely return to Lebanon)

Lebanese politics is very complicated, and reads much like a novel with parties backstabbing each other constantly and backdoor deals with multiple nations.
The Lebanese army is on the border, not to fight, but to stop Hezbollah from approaching the border and starting something.
This is a non story and there would not be any act of aggression from either side. If the Lebanese army were so pro syria they would not have sat by and watched the israelis enter lebanon to take out hezbollah in 2006, and would not have made a public spectacle of having drinks with commanders in the field. Israel also knows this and thats why in the 2006 war they did not bomb lebanese army positions, nor did they bomb christian or druze areas or even sunni areas. They bombed Shiite hezbollah areas.

In any case, Syria of Assad is by far a better enemy to have than a Muslim brotherhood Syria. There is no doubt in my mind. Better for Syrian Christians, Lebanese Christians, Israel and any other minority living in the middle east.

The bottom line is that we should all butt out of syria and let bashar and the foreign terrorists take each other out and hopefully a weak bashar remains in power. All these articles about interfering in syria really bother me. We have nothing to gain, we should play this situation like iran and iraq in the 80s. Let both sides screw each other. I realize that Syrian christians would get caught in the crossfire, but saying this as a Christian of middle eastern origin, they are better off immigrating to the west and integrating into a society that will protect their religious beliefs. A society where one does not have to worry about extremists threatening the lives of their children, or worry that their children even have a future being surrounded by muslims.

But yes, there is no doubt in my mind that Obama is a secret muslim. His actions in supporting extremists take power in the middle east is more than enough evidence to support that notion.
