The George W. Presidential Center is a state-of-the-art facility located on the campus of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Opening to the public on May 1, 2013, the Center will house the George W. Bush Institute and the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. The Library and Museum is the 13th Presidential Library administered by the National Archives and Records Administration, a Federal agency.
I hope I am doing this right, and not stepping on toes, but did not see thread.

Yet ANOTHER Presidential “Library” to MISS!
The Centerpiece will be an EMPTY/SILENT “Bully Pulpit”.
That’s the spirit ;)
Will be interesting to watch Obama turn his speech about President Bush into an fictional autobiography of himself and all his own ‘accomplishments’.
Not sure I can stomach it.
At 3pm or so, Obma is scheduled to go the memorial for the West, TX explosion victims.
I’m watching. And can’t wait to visit it.
Me, too.
Loved the applause for Cheney and how quiet the crowd was when Barry0 was introduced. And how W’s chin quivered as the flag passed.
Very nostalgic today.
Watching. I plan on visiting when we go to Texas in July.
In summer of 2010, on our trip to TX we had planned to stop in Little Rock and visit the Billy Jeff library, then on the UT Austin for LBJ and A&M for Daddy Bush . . . but a little mishap on the River Walk in Little Rock, I fell and fracture my ankle so didn’t get to go . . . the TX libraries were in addition to campus visits for our then junior high school daughter. Ah the best laid of plans gone wrong.
I think I’ll sign up for the charter membership for GW Bush library, at least for this year. Gets us entry for our family.
But the one I really, really want to visit . . . Ronald Reagan’s. One of these days I’ll make it out there for a visit.
Yet as time goes on, GWB is looking better and better over the course of time.
Does that include the Reagan Library?
Apparently trips to Texas combined with trips to Little Rock to visit the Clinton Museum are ill-fated.
In August, 2010, I took a road trip to Dallas with my then-significant other. Decided I wanted to see the Clinton Library on the way home, so we routed our way home thru their.
Unfortunately, while in Dallas, she picked up a terrible case of food poisoning. It worked out that we got there late enough and she was hungry for the first time in several days. By the time we ate, the library was closed.
I want to get there someday!
Laura Bush gave a good speech.
Nope went to THAT one. Been to Hoover(High School Trip)(sucked), Truman(3x)(kinda dark and depressing), Reagan (made me miss the man even MORE)!
Former President Jimmy “go along to get along” Carter now speaking.
Jimmy Carter...ugggg...bringing up election dispute..these people have no shame.bush does not look amused.
Trying to take credit for Bush’s work in the Sudan...pathetic.
Was just acting a bit on the SARC side. ;)
Being where the new GWB library is, SMU, the university will be seein my home state university, UConn come this fall in the new AAC college sports conference via football.
