So much for the Boston Police' public speculation that Dzhokar Tsarneav may have shot himself in the neck in a suicide attempt -- and their claim the gunfire battle occuring at the boat was two-way.
Officials now say Dzhokar was unarmed when he was captured. No gun was found on or around the boat.
Two U.S. officials say Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect, was unarmed when police captured him hiding inside a boat in a neighborhood back yard.
Authorities originally said they had exchanged gunfire with Dzhokhar for more than one hour Friday evening before they were able to subdue him.
Interesting that instead of this being the headline, CBS has a headline referring to a speculative claim by police in the article that Tamerlan may have financed the venture with marijuana sales. No support for is given other than Tamerlan was unemployed.
According to his wife, he was the stay at home dad while she worked 60 to 80 hours a week. That's hardly evidence of drug dealing.

Question: Have police identfied this guy yet? The one they arrested and made strip naked, and then paraded in front of the media cameras as they put him in a patrol car, and then let go because he wasn't involved?
It's not the carjack victim because he's Chinese and escaped at the gas station in Cambridge while Tamerlan was pumping gas and Dzhokhar was buying Red Bull before the brothers took the car to Watertown.

For him to be unarmed, there sure was a lot of gunfire exchange caught on the police scanner when the police first arrived at the boat.
And kill dogs.
The fact is that Obama has failed to stop several terrorist attacks. The underwear bomber wasn’t stopped, he failed and Nappy quickly claimed credit for his bomb failing to go off. There’s Fort Hood, the Times Square bomb attempt (Also blamed whitey)

The were flash bangs after initial burst of fire. Drokar allegedly shot himself in the mouth in an attempt to commit suicide however there are photos of him climbing out of the boat..his right hand is not visible as I recollect.

There is a thermal imaging video floating around taken from a helicopter that shows him laying down in the boat and not moving.
Surely that same thermal imaging technology would show if he got up and pointed a weapon and began shooting out of the boat — but he didn’t have a gun and so that would not have happened.
So what the hell was all that gunfire about. It was all coming from the police. Was that a show to impress the crowd???
The naked man looks similar to Tamarlan. So I can see why the police would think he is and detain him. But he’s not.
I suspect that it was mistaken identity, and just like the guy in the woods at Sandy Hook, he was released and the public will never know his name unless he wants to come forward.
And because of that, this one time I have no problem with the Police being trigger happy!
