Banning homeschooling does not violate rights: U.S. Attorney General’s office

The U.S. law of asylum allows a refugee to stay in the United States permanently if he can show that he is being persecuted for one of several specific reasons. Among these are persecution for religious reasons and persecution of a “particular social group.”

In most asylum cases, there is some guesswork necessary to figure out the government’s true motive—but not in this case. The Supreme Court of Germany declared that the purpose of the German ban on homeschooling was to “counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies.”

"“counteract the development of religious and philosophically motivated parallel societies.”"

I thought it was to promote proper goose-stepping.

What do you expect from a nation that came up with Kindergarten? At least the national socialists had some notion of conserving tax dollars. We, one the other hand, have Headstart, government funded day care, full day kindergarten and many other programs that allow lazy ass parents to abdicate their responsibilities to government.

Will somebody please grab that pretender and his staff by the collar and drag them on their @$$ to the nearest jail cell?

Mike Farris is a great chess player and he will keep these clowns in check.

From the article:

“A second argument is revealing. The U.S. government contended that the Romeikes’ case failed to show that there was any discrimination based on religion because, among other reasons, the Romeikes did not prove that all homeschoolers were religious, and that not all Christians believed they had to homeschool.”

This is identical in structure to the logic of the HHS abortion mandate. The abortion mandate doesn’t recognize the individual religious beliefs of Hobby Lobby etc or other private individuals, because opening that gate would let dissenters “become a law unto themsleves,” as the government put it. The dictate of the collective trumps the dictate of individual conscience. And no doubt driven by the same fear of nonconformity. Group-think on steroids. Eleutherophobia, the fear of freedom.

This means that the German government wants to prohibit people who think differently from the government (on religious or philosophical grounds) from growing and developing into a force in society.

Then why does Germany allow muslimism free reign to "think differently from the government"?

What the hell would this U.S. Attorney General’s office know about rights violations? They’re a bunch of incompetent buffoons.

Parents don’t even feed their kids breakfast or lunch during the school year either.

We do.

Some of the main originators of kindergarten in the US also helped start the GOP. It’s no wonder conservatives aren’t welcome.

They don't feed them during the summer either. Where I live they provide lunch in the Parks for all who come.

“Every child in America should be acquainted with his own country. He should read books that furnish him with ideas that will be useful to him in life and practice. As soon as he opens his lips, he should rehearse the history of his own country; he should lisp the praise of liberty, and of those illustrious heroes and statesmen, who have wrought a revolution in her favor.”

—Noah Webster, On the Education of Youth in America, 1788
