I had Jeb! as a governor. For 8 years he was at the top of the executive branch of this state, and he did a very good job.

I don’t think the country is ready for another Bush in the White House. Or another Clinton.

Look, political families, in my opinion, are FINE. A tradition as old as Washington and Adams. (IIRC, one of Washington’s nephews was on the Supreme Court, and of course Adams’ son was an ambassador and a President...)

Right now, the nation needs different blood. I liked Jeb (go ahead and flame me) as a governor, and if Dubya hadn’t been in the White House for eight years, then maybe it’d be a good idea.

Let’s get someone else...please.

I don’t care if it is a Kennedy, Bush, Clinton, etc. I am just sick to death of political families. Doesn’t matter if they are Dems or Repubs, no more dynasties.

My uncle also swears by Jeb when he was in FL. Taxes down, jobs a lot. It’s when he left FL and handed it over to Crist that the sh*t hit the fan.

The place was bursting at the seams with illegals when he was governor.

Reportedly, Jeb was supposed to be the Bush that ran for President, and was on track to do so. Then, George unexpectedly won the 1994 gubernatorial election in Texas -- and leveraged that into a Presidental run. So, he lapped his brother and got there first.

The funny thing: it was widespread revolt against Clinton that led to the Republicans sweeping into Congress. And it affected all the down-ticket races, including the Texas governor. However, there was one more thing that greased the skids for George:

In 1993, a concealed handgun licensing bill had made it through the Texas House. But, it died in the Senate because Ann Richards said she would veto it. Gun owners had a long memory. I remember bumper stickers that were explicit: "Veto Ann Richards". George promised he would sign it, and he did -- in 1995.

I wonder how many meals he ate while promising to uphold his oath of office and save Terri Schiavo.
I wonder how many drinks he had while she was dying after he broke that promise.
No, he did not do a very good job.

We have different blood in the White House now...playing havoc with our country.

I'm being careful the ‘Not another Bush” slogan isn't the Democrats pushing it...so not jumping on that wagon. Too many of our people jumped on their slogans not realizing the demo's were putting them out there.

Are we going to do the same thing we did in this last election and immediately screw every candidate? I won't be making that mistake again...will see who can unite the opposition to the democrates before I jump in or out. Right now we're leaderless...and I don't see anyone in the pipeline ...I could handle the Bushes bringing some stability to the country, which will be a wreak by the time Obama’s done.

We've just had a CEO darn near bankrupt our company...they fired him and brought back the former CEO who had maintained the company throughout the 08 financial dive. Immediately calm came to the employees, banks and vendors.

We may need just that from the Bushes...for 4 yrs, while they line up another “NEWBEE to take over.

The Bush crime family is intricately tied to the Clinton Crime grp via the Drug importation business they are both wrapped up in, GWB was flying around in Barry Seal’s old CIA plane for years, these 2 families are a mutual aid association. This means that if we have Clinton and Bush as nominees in 2016 it is a collusion of criminals and nothing less!
