A local news outlet is reporting that the home-goods retailer, Williams-Sonoma has pulled pressure cookers from their shelves in the aftermath of the Boston attack.

According to the Dedham Patch, Williams-Sonoma has pulled pressure cookers off the shelves out of respect for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Kent, a store manager of the Williams-Sonoma at the Natick Mall says:

"It's a temporary thing out of respect."

Authorities have confirmed that pressure cookers were used by the two men who planned and carried out the bombing at the Boston Marathon last Monday.

Williams-Sonoma says that the product will still be available online.

Its not about whether you can buy a pressure cooker or about Williams-Sonoma. Its about pushing back against the insidious leftward creep.

It's about properly rewarding Williams-Sonoma for their insufferable "sensitivity" by shopping elsewhere.

The Founding Fathers didn’t even have pressure cookers in their day and did not conceive of them.

The pressure cooker was invented in 1679 by a Frenchman. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Jefferson or Franklin knew about the operating principle or maybe even had one.

Out of Stupidity!

Only idiots buy from WS, as they are priced at 100% more than their competitors.

My kid just said, "Hey, Williams Sonoma sells knives."

Where's the respect for people killed by knives?

What good is that? I can still buy fireworks and radio-controlled cars.

Agreed. Even third-world, guerrilla knuckleheads will always find ways to sneak around and assassinate lots of people, and they can always find or make parts to do ever more damage.

Police work won't do it alone. We'll have to fight a war with real soldiers against foreign enemies sooner or later, even if it's one of the ugliest kinds of war (ethnic/religious). The enemy's will to fight must be destroyed. But life-long civilians, who are even incompetent in public affairs, are in charge. We, as a nation, will just have to find out the longer, harder way again.
