Glenn Beck has spent lots of time in recent days alleging that the Boston Marathon bombing was carried out by a conspiracy that revolved around a shadowy Saudi national questioned by police in a Boston hospital in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.
OK, is he just winging it here, or does the ex-Fox, now-independent radio and Internet video host have any real evidence for this charge?
He says he does, unsurprisingly. On his show Wednesday morning Mr. Beck produced a document that he claimed is an official US “event report” showing that the Saudi in question is a bad, bad man who was on a no-fly list and already subject to visa revocation.
What he didn’t mention is that Fox News reporter Bret Baier has already looked into this whole alleged Saudi conspiracy, including the document Beck deemed so revealing, and concluded that there was no there there, to paraphrase writer Gertrude Stein’s jibe about Oakland.
It’s “false and misleading” to use the internal document on the Saudi’s immigration status as evidence of the man’s involvement in the bombings, according to US officials quoted by Mr. Baier in a Fox video blog on April 23.
“The FBI says the Saudi [in question] was just a victim of the terrorist attack,” said Baier...
But Bret Baier had this piece of paper already. On Tuesday, he talked with US officials about it, and got a different story.
First off, Baier said the wording of the paper was indeed somewhat dire.
“Anyone looking at this would say this is a bad guy, this means they had a lot of stuff on this guy,” he said.
But officials told him it was simply an automatic piece of customs paperwork triggered when police went to question the Saudi in the hours after the bombing...

A Saudi named Al Waleed owns 7% of News Corp. Seven percent. News Corp owns Fox News. There is no Saudi that "purchased just over a majority of Fox".
‘Officials’ are lying and layering their lies now. Amd poor Bret is just repeating what he’s told to say. To his thin credit, he at least qualifies the data he’s presenting as ‘officials say’. But we know because we have the video that ‘officials’ lie all the time and they are lying to the American people now, probably in service to what they have been ordered to do in service to the Saudi masters. The enemy is running fedzilla!

I too pray for those who are willing to stand strong and fight the evil. By default, Bret IS in my prayers.
I simply can’t imagine sitting back and letting this story get spun by those who want to cause so much damage, and I believe Bret knows this as well. So, having said that, I am a bit dismayed that the angle of painting this as a non story and another attempt to pile on Beck, just utterly disgusting!
A 212 3B is a BIG deal and not easy to have one attached to you. That is the heart of the story and I’m frustrated that the big point is being missed. Sigh

I had not caught they evacuated the hospital same time as the courthouse. What if they were really going to take him to the courthouse and book him. Could his picture be the one that was shown to the CNN reporter? The dark skinned man. This would explain all the arrest stories and why so many people were pissed and went to Glenn . Can you imagine the outrage.

You’re not alone AA44! I have to say that I am NOT a fan of Glenn’s dramatics but he has FACTS on his side, as usual. The important thing to remember is that there’s always going to be about 52 percent of the people that want to hide this BS from us. We are fighting an uphill battle and need strong warriors to take it to the government and not be afraid of them.
The number one issue right no ow should be that this guy had a event file already, before the attack. And that he was still allowed to walk free and attend the marathon, especially with all those DHS, FBI, cops aware of it. They had to know. That’s the key.

No but it was said he was being deported asap. I think Beck is going to announce tomorrow where he is and Beck said “You aren’t going to like it”. I took that to mean back in Saudi Arabia. But who knows.
My guess is this guy is some kind of double agent or triple agent. There definitely is a national security cloud over him. Maybe it’s because he was involved and Obama is covering up, maybe he was supposed to be on our side but got caught up in this, maybe he turned sides. Something along these lines happened.
They said his hands were burnt in the blast.
You really have to watch Beck’s videos to grab the entire story. He has never once, mentioned the Tsarnaevs. Al Harbi had a 212 3B opened on him for this incident. It listed on page 2 that he was “armed and dangerous”. It was also discovered that he was on a “no fly list” because he had another 212 3 B on file. In spite of this fact, he entered this country on a Special Visa usually reserved for VIP’s, therefore was not vetted properly. All Saudis, until January 2013 had to be vetted, but the Obama administration lifted that. Al Harbi’s visa states he is attending Findlay College in Ohio. Beck stated he spoke with the school, and he never showed. In spite of all this, his status was altered. Beck also stated that any altering of these files results in an email telling the author who accessed the file. He says he has the email of the person who accessed the file TWICE. Is that enough or should I keep going?
Explain the Saudi’s burned hands. I have yet to hear ANY explanation of same.

Photo’s of Saudi suspect with Wookie#1 show no evidence of burns to the hands , no bandages , no discoloration , no salve, no IV drip .. his hands look like NORMAL hands .. and he is seen using his hands for normal functions that would be VERY painful if he was burned.
I don't personally know whether what Glen has been saying is true, or whether what Bret has been saying is true, or both, or neither. (The words of both men could be true at the same time, if Bret's sources are just part of a cover-up. After all, Bret does not re-state and personally stand behind his sources' claims as Glen does, Bret only reports the claims of his sources--though he does say the sources are believed to be credible.)
What I do know is that this article, and apparently this CS Monitor reporter, cannot be trusted. The reporter either does not know what Glen has actually said (and when), and what Bret actually said, and is just writing what he was told to write, or he is intentionally getting the facts wrong. Both what Glen has been saying and what Bret said in his video blog are falsely represented and seriously mischaracterized in the article.
Don't take my word for it. Watch or read what Glen has said. Watch Bret's video blog. Read the CS Monitor article. You can see it for yourself. It is not that hard.
