The immigration bill pushed by Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) and other members of the Gang of 8 is advertised as a comprehensive reform to secure the border and strengthen the immigration laws before allowing legalization.
Nonsense.
An actual read of the massive bill reveals it as radical legislation which will transform the rule of law and the political future of the nation.
Democrats are desperate to pass the legislation because they long to transform 11 million illegal immigrants and their families into Democrats.
The language of the bill doesnt do what the proponents say. Instead, the provisions are a witchs brew of lawlessness, executive discretion, and legalistic trickery crafted by the organized, open-borders left.
Examples of the deception abound.
The bill provides for legalization in six months as soon as the secretary of Department of Homeland Security does another worthless Washington, D.C., review of border security. Almost anyone who has been in the United States illegally since as recently as December 2011 is eligible to legalize. This exposes the public- relations lie of rewarding only those who have put down roots in the United States.
Even the last mass amnesty in 1986 required applicants to have been in the United States almost five years.
Proponents say the bill will make us safer because we will know who is here. But the Boston bombers were already living here legally and were operating in plain sight.
In fact, in the bill aliens are eligible for legalization even if they were found by an immigration court to have filed a phony asylum application (page 66). Current law prevents them from obtaining any immigration benefits after they file a phony application.
The bill does not even require DHS to interview those who apply for legalization (page 105). The bill makes it a rubber-stamp approval.
The bill is supposed to protect aliens who live in the shadows. But aliens who have been through the court system and were ordered deported but refused to leave will benefit from the bill. (page 75). The bill allows some aliens who have been deported to return and get legalization.
The bill even encourages federal-court lawsuits and gives federal judges broad review powers over individual applications if the DHS dares to deny an aliens application. This is a prize for the immigration bar who helped draft the bill. Similar to the 1986 amnesty, this provision will weigh down the courts for decades.
NY POST EXCERPT--- Mexican cartels dispatch agents deep inside US - spread into non-border states
CHICAGO (AP) Mexican drug cartels whose operatives once rarely ventured beyond the US border are dispatching some of their most trusted agents to live and work deep inside the United States an emboldened presence that experts believe is meant to tighten their grip on the world's most lucrative narcotics market and maximize profits. If left unchecked, authorities say, the cartels' move into the American interior could render the syndicates harder than ever to dislodge and pave the way for them to expand into other criminal enterprises such as prostitution, kidnapping- and-extortion rackets and money laundering.
Some cartels even have Mexican operatives fill out job applications before being dispatched to the US, Riley added.
In Mexico, the cartels are known for a staggering number of killings more than 50,000, according to one tally. Beheadings are sometimes a signature. So far, cartels don't appear to be directly responsible for large numbers of slayings in the United States, though the Texas Department of Public Safety reported 22 killings and five kidnappings in Texas at the hands of Mexican cartels from 2010 through mid- 2011. Still, police worry that increased cartel activity could fuel heightened violence.--SNIP--
In Chicago, the police commander who oversees narcotics investigations, James O'Grady, said street-gang disputes over turf account for most of the city's uptick in murders last year, when slayings topped 500 for the first time since 2008.
Although the cartels aren't dictating the territorial wars, they are the source of drugs. Riley's assessment is stark: He argues that the cartels should be seen as an underlying cause of Chicago's disturbingly high murder rate. "They are the puppeteers," he said. "Maybe the shooter didn't know and maybe the victim didn't know that. But if you follow it down the line, the cartels are ultimately responsible."

Clint Eastwood did us a favor by overshadowing Rubio's big moment at the GOPe's elect Romney convention.
Had Rubio been able to score the points he was supposed to, the GOP faithful would have been talking about Rubio instead of Clint's empty chair and his efforts for amnesty might have gotten off to a better start.
Too bad, so sad.
(1) “11 million”
There is no limit on how many illegals may apply.
In the 1986 Amnesty, the original number was 750,000.
In 2013, the approved number had reached 3 million, and they are still applying!
(2) “Cannot get government benefits for 10 years”
Total bull.
For example, an Amnesty immigrant loses his job because of a recession.
He has no money, and his family is starving.
Rubio wants us to believe that the GOP presidential candidate is going to campaign in favor of allowing that family to starve.
What bull.
Food and health care assistance will NEVER be denied to these people!
And to think many people are disappointed that some people opposed the chameleon for POTUSA because of his eligibility credentials.
Treason, it’s not just for Democrats anymore.
BTTT urgently!
The gangof8 know it too as well as most politicians. We're being sold out and it's criminal, IMO.
