Sarah Palin has said many controversial things in her life but did John McCains running mate really call for the invasion of the Czech Republic?
No, but a leading eastern European weekly wrote that she did mistaking a satirical article written about Palin as fact.
Lets burn Prague: Sarah Palin Calls for the Invasion of the Czech Republic screamed a headline in Wprost, one of Polands top news publications.
Wprost later yanked the article from its website after readers began questioning its authenticity on Facebook, the journalism blog JimRomenesko reported.
Editor's Note: Should ObamaCare Be Repealed? Vote in Urgent National Poll
The parody, originally posted on The Daily Currant which clearly bills itself as the Global Satirical Newspaper of Record begins:
Sarah Palin called for the invasion of the Czech Republic today in response to the recent terrorist attacks in Boston.
It claimed Palin had given an interview on Fox News in which she confused Chechnya with the Czech Republic and called for the bombing of Pakistan, Iran, and many parts between.
I betcha I speak for a lot of Americans when I say I want to go over there right now and start teaching those folks a lesson. And let's not stop at the Czech Republic, let's go after all Arab countries.

It made the rounds on Facebook as factual as well.
Just when you thought the commies couldn’t possibly find a way to pin the Boston bombing on Sarah Palin...
I need to Czech this out.
What’s more, some of these hyperbolic attempts at satire and outrage result in genuine riots in the misinformed muddled east.
A woman at some left leaning academic center wrote of US foreign policy raping these countries’ sovereignty and it was reported over there as genuine rapes of the local women.
Perception is truth, as the Left loves to say (including Obama).
They know what they do when they claim that Sarah Palin urges for the bombing of Pakistan and the Czech Republic.
Or For Us German Speakers: Ich bin ein Idiot
Even overseas has PDS going on Ping!
They need to sit down and let the Big Girls talk for a while.
You know they can’t put anything on the Internet that isn’t true.
Most progressives (neo communist liberals) also believed Sarah said she could see Russia from her porch....so this is not surprising....
Low Information Simpletons.....
Her exact quote is that from certain islands in the bering sea you can literally see russian teritory as the distance is about 40-30 miles....
Of course SNL mocked this and twisted it and all the dummies soon thought Tina Fey = Sarah Palin....
Bonjour
And this wasn’t from teenagers/twentysomethings. This was from libs in their 50s.
Sarah has made enemies of the GOP too and the establishment was/is in no rush to her aid, and they count on the general stupidity of the electorate.
Name one. "Death panels?" Proven true. "I can see Russia from my porch?" 'Actress' Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live parodying Gov. Palin. What?
Controversial does not mean false. You can say something controversial that is 100%. Often they are the most controversial.
Once again, the three most powerful forces in the Universe are:
-Nuclear Fusion
-Compound Interest
and
-Palin Derangement Syndrome
My goodness, they CANNOT GET HER OUT OF THEIR LITTLE HEADS!!!!
Yep, she lives in their heads 24/7, and rent-free besides. :=)
Rent free.....hehehe, oh the irony!
