In an ENQUIRER special investigation, we REVEAL the dark secrets the American wife of the Boston bombing mastermind was hiding.
As the FBI probes the exact details of what Katherine Russell Tsarnaev the widow of Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev, knew about the sinister attack, The ENQUIRER has uncovered a secret arrest in the 24-year-old woman’s past that may be linked to her evil husband.
“Tamerlan had an iron-clad grip on Katherine,” a friend in her native Rhode Island told The ENQUIRER. “He turned her from an innocent all-American girl into a terrorist bride – and she may unwittingly be hiding information that’s vital to national security.”
While Katherine’s attorney Amato DeLuca insists she knew nothing about the bomb plot, in an exhaustive investigation The ENQUIRER discovered that although she reportedly met Tsarnaev as a Suffolk University student in Boston, she previously claimed to be married to him.
According to an arrest report obtained by The ENQUIRER, then-18-year-old Katherine and an underage girlfriend were busted for shoplifting more than $67 worth of items from an Old Navy clothing store in Warwick, R.I., on June 26, 2007.

7:42 p.m.: Loss prevention from Lord & Taylor called to report they had detained a shoplifter. Zubeidat K. Tsarnaeva, 45, of 410 Norfolk St., Apt. 3, Cambridge, was arrested and charged with larceny over $250 (women's clothing valued at $1,624), and two counts of malicious/wanton damage/defacement to property.
Yes, but she would have had Tsarnaeva as a surname from before she emigrated. The patty Hearst wanna-be doesn’t have that excuse.
