I doubt this woman was "Christian" - or anything for that matter. Just a typical, lost youth who doesn't know where she came from, or where she is going, and whose only moral formation was being told in school to be "nice" and accept "diversity" without judgement. And that's what she did.

It might be because American men have been so feminized that they are like women. That and the romantic idea that books like shades of grey have stirred in women’s sexuality, of being taken and owned and dominated. That book is so popular because it speaks to human nature- and in the sexual fantasies of women.
Broken families have left women feeling rejected and unwanted as little girls- lack of strong father figure has left males and females yearning for strong male role models.
