‘professionalism of the crews’ = fear of the faa

the faa can end your flying career in a heartbeat - or make your life hella expensive

i have 63 employees at one fbo - which will have to change - but to learn how to skirt ghettocare, you have to hire consultants that cost a small fortune - even then - they take no responsibility for the advice they give

i’m over this crap - that fbo has great morale and everyone loves their jobs - its all being destroyed by idiot democrapz

Yes, and I agree about the ubiquity of this particular desciduous tree and its’ weak crotches.

Serviceberry (Amelanchier) tree & bush are wonderful plants. Great berries for feeding returning birds in spring. Beautiful spring flowers, summer-fall fruit, amazing fall colors.

The original (TRUE, OLD TIME, MOST FRAGRANT) Viburnum carlesii (true Koreanspice viburnum) isn’t grown anymore because of a fungus; it’s been replaced by another duplicate cultivar which is immune to that fungus. The growers didn’t change the name, due to the demand for the shrub.

All they require is regular, deep watering, until they establish a decent root system within 5-6mos, and then they’re off-n-running.

What color is your thumb? LOL.

I know. :( I knew better-we planted it in the spring one year (wrong time). I think we amended the hole too much-I think the roots rotted out or something. Watered it a lot-but it gets awfully hot here in the summer. Fortunately we had purchased it from one of the best nurseries here in Nashville (Bates Nursery). They guaranteed it-refunded our money. I felt bad-it was our own stupidity I think.

No, you didn’t. They’re a LOT of work. How many acres? What varieties did you grow?

Dormant oil, rust, blight, scale, nematodes, canker.... lots to do to keep the crop healthy from insects and disease.

Not to mention the winter pruning on lateral branches to bear the fruit. Many of the orchards up here have closed due to EPA, DER, DNR, etc agencies regs/rules on chemical controls.
