Rand Paul U.S. Senator, 50 By Sarah Palin
When the Tea Party movement wanted to send a message to the Senate in 2010, it elected a clear-sighted eye doctor from the Bluegrass State. In a D.C. too often defined by the venal equivocations of a permanent political class more interested in consolidating its own power than in upholding the Constitution or defending the common good, Senator Rand Paul is a voice of reason awakening the public to what must be done to restore our prosperity and preserve the blessings of liberty for future generations. His brand of libertarian-leaning conservatism attracts young voters, and recently he inspired the nation with his Capraesque filibuster demanding basic answers about our use of drones. I sent him some caribou jerky from Alaska to help keep up his strength on the Senate floor. Theres more where that came from for this bold Senator with 20/20 vision willing to take a stand for liberty.
Palin is a former governor of Alaska

Jim, I'd re-read Palin's blurb for Rand Paul again before lumping her in with his support for the current immigration bill. She didn't mention it once. Not even by inference.
She is still providing support for a politician who is pro-illegal-amnesty.
That, I can't deny. I'd very much like her to make a public statement to the effect that she doesn't support his weakness in that area.
Yeah, any inference was made by the Paul/amnesty pushers posting to the thread. Will withhold judgement until we hear from Sarah on the amnesty/open immigration issue.
Thanks. That was my thought as well.
As much as I love and admire Sarah, she's now put herself in the position of owing the patriot right a full explanation regarding her support of Rand Paul.
We all admired what he did in the filibuster too, but that doesn't mean we're willing to give him a pass on his wrong-headedness regarding illegals.
I want to hear the same thing from Sarah.
The bashing is probably from GOP-E trolls who want to derail Paul as a possible 2016 presidential candidate.
I don’t call myself a supporter of his, but at least he wants a balanced budget in five years instead of ten (which is a joke) like others do.
There is a perfect solution for the children who were brought here 20 years ago and more, their parents were illegal so they are illegal. Every body in the family gets a ONE WAY TICKET BACK TO THEIR PARENTS COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.
Because Rand Paul is a Libertarian, Libertardians have never believed in boarders. Their basic belief is WHATS IN IT FOR ME.
Et tu Sara?
Amnesty is not the way to get them.
To paraphrase what I said on another thread,
If and when, likely when, this end America BS passes, I want every person on this thread to remember the names of the Freepers who defend Ryan, Paul and Rubio.
Then every time you see one of them bitch when another American gets killed, another child gets raped or all the other things illegals are famous for, I would like you all to join me and tell these people to STFU.
Problem: they have 59 votes in the Senate, it’s not going to get defeated. He’d be fighting a losing battle.
I dont think he is some kind of amnesty warrior.
He’s been bounced into this by his colleagues and the president. 59 votes.
He’s trying to limit the damage.
It’s coming whether we like it or not and whatever passe will probably be worse than Rand deems acceptable (unless it can be stopped...)
If he doesn’t like the bill i’m sure he’ll vote against it and work behind the scenes with the House.
Yry calling his office, they will take your call and let him know how you feel.

Gee...what are the odds?
I'll support Sarah or Rand any day. I don't like amnesty for illegals, but as an issue it's right up there with the national 55 mph speed limit or spotted owls in importance, or lack thereof, to me. Others may disagree as is their right, but personally it pales to near-insignificance compared to gun rights, stopping abortions, and shrinking the size of the federal government IMHO.
In a perfect world they would all be like Cruz, but Sarah or Rand vs a Rubio or Jeb? It's an easy decision for 2016.
And while you can’t be bothered to care enough, some illegal raping an American child thanks you I’m sure. As will their parents.
Remind me to ping you to those threads when they happen so you can repost your comment PROUDLY.
Sorry, no sale, Sarah. He’s not the answer to our prayers, and you choose not to be.
The American taxpayer is the person who needs to step up and do something.
Quit working and tell the govt why.
It can’t function without that revenue.
It can’t do all the stuff you say you hate, without the money you provide.
The odds on what Norm?
I like and respect Rand. I’m a conservative Republican in the Robert Taft tradition. I’m in my 30’s.
I supported Rand, Mike Lee, Ron Johnson and Ted Cruz because they’re very similar to my beliefs and I think they have been a breath of fresh air for the Republican Party.
