Where I want to live, and under what conditions were not the subject under discussion. Thank you for contributing.

I’d return the thank you but then you haven’t contributed much except that you’re willing to live in a police state.

I wasn’t going to post agian, but your ‘Greater Good’ coment was over the top. Who decides what the greater good is? Isn’t the FRIST duty of LEO’s, Soilders, Guardsmen, any and all Government officials the one that they swear to is to PROTECT AND DEFEND THE CONSITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, so tell me how is violating the 4th Amendmend possible be construed as preforming their first and sworen duty?

Thank you for worrying about my rights. But alas, that is for me to worry about isn't it?

I was merely expressing my happiness that the First Amendment permits us all to analyze and discuss something on an open forum. Free speech is to the greater good isn’t it?

“There’s the argument about whether its better to be in town or out in the boonies.”

Leaving is not an option for me so I have to think of ways to secure myself so if cop types came to my house, there would be nothing of interest for them to see except maybe a special find for them.

I have to think on this more, but right now I'm thinking I'd put some of my medical supplies where they would find them - types of supplies that would mean I had medical knowledge. That might mean to them that they should leave me alone so I would be helpful to them if they needed care.

The problems people articulated were Constitutional, not tactical.

For my part, that's because there is no answer to this, because their response was tactically superior to the standard "felon on the loose" response. In my opinion, however, it should have been a standard response involving a perimeter, K9 tracking dog(s), helicopter support and consensual contact with residents at their homes.

Going door to door and searching everyone's homes was tactically superior and constitutionally inferior. At least that's how it looked. Who knows, maybe every single resident said "come on in, boys!" and not a single resident said "I don't want the police in my house".

I doubt that though. I'd love some first hand accounts from anyone who refused police entry.

What Karl Denninger may be overlooking is the simple fact that these unprecedented searches and take over by LEO was due to the fact that Boston IS a LIBERAL BASTION.

The sheeple there are easily herded because they are already of the mentality that they are more than willing to give up certain "rights" in exchange for being made to FEEL safer.

I believe I just described the core reason as to WHY it went down the way it did.

There are articles and FOX said the perimeter stopped a block short of the boat’s location.

Someone tried to break into the home of an acquaintance of mine, apparently running when the alarm went off. They didn’t go into the home.

The cops responded to the alarm and entered the house. The guy had guns and about 5000 rounds of ammo visible.

The cops decided he was into something and tossed the entire house.

So if the guy had kept going they may have never caught him.

Do we know how far the boat was from the stolen SUV? One would think the cops would put the SUV at the center point of the perimeter but who knows. With everyone hiding behind locked doors, he would have had a chance to steal another car and get a long way away before the “shelter in place” was lifted and anyone noticed their car was missing.

I don’t have a link but remember seeing a map on Fox. It wasn’t very far from the SUV or even from the site of the bombings. The boat was maybe 5 or 6 blocks from the SUV, which was just across the river from the bombing site. Probably not more than a mile or maybe two total.

So, despite everyone looking for him and a leg wound, he was able to get 2 miles on foot and most of that was probably zig zagging around so we may be looking at close to 3 miles of hoofing it. Amazing the cops couldn’t be bothered to follow the blood trail with or without the dogs.

If he’d had a throw away phone, he could have called a cell buddy and been in Russia by now. Wonder where his phone is. Teens can’t live without their cell phones. Supposedly (and hard to believe but whatever), big brother called his mama to tell her he loved her in the middle of the gun fight so surely, little punk had one on him unless he lost it somewhere along the way. Hope the cops are searching for it between the SUV and the car.

Speaking of the boat, did you see the picture of the evidence flags marking what I take to be where bullets landed? As expected, there were flags in the neighbors’ yard. With those houses so close together, they’re lucky no one was injured.

“The greater good has been served by drawing out what others believe.”

Sound like a liberal.

That is what is bothering me right now. Guess I'd better move my PINK Ruger 22LR rifle with 25 round magazine off the pink marble coffee table - huh?

Also in sight is my mean looking pellet handgun with its cans of ammo. Then, there is my two rather large ammo boxes in sight. Now, they have pictures of Zombies on them so maybe the cops would just put me in the crazy house due to the Zombie pictures.

I have this out to organize stuff and I'm not letting anyone in here until that stuff is put away. Then, there is my doormat that reads, “COME BACK WTIH A WARRANT”, so maybe they would go away for a bit so I could “clean up”. I'll just be a little old lady holding her Yorkie.

I will speculate here then. He must have known that there were a LOT of officers around, but he might NOT have known that he was a block outside the perimeter. With everyone staying in their homes, he would have stood out quickly if he started moving around. His best chance was to do what he was doing, and that was to stay hidden until dark. His luck ran out.
