(CNN) -- Ruslan Tsarni angrily condemned the alleged actions of his two nephews -- the two brothers suspected in the Boston Marathon bombings -- and after calling the bombers "losers," the uncle urged the surviving nephew to turn himself in immediately. "If you're alive, turn yourself in and ask for forgiveness from the victims," Tsarni said in front of reporters in a news conference outside his Montgomery County, Maryland, home. Hours later, Dzhokar Tsarnaev, 19, was captured in Watertown, Massachusetts. His brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died after an overnight shootout with police. The brothers come from an ethnic Chechen Muslim family, and Tsarni said the two nephews brought shame to his brother's family. The nephews are sons of Tsarni's brother, and Tsarni last saw his nephews in December 2005. "You put a shame on our entire family -- the Tsarnaev family -- and you put a shame on the entire Chechen ethnicity," Tsarni said. When asked what provoked the bombing suspects, the uncle stated: "Being losers, hatred to those who were able to settle themselves -- these are the only reasons I can imagine.

Yes, but don't expect our government officials to mention this.

And, Uncle, if islam is truly a religion of peace, then you have a serious PR problem on your hands.

Muslims from the Balkans and the Caucasus are some of the most zealous and violent followers of Islam. After the Ottomans conquered them, they were the most loyal warriors for the cause of the Caliphate. They are bigger in stature, and tend to have more inclinations to brutality than their follow Muslims in the Middle East.
The Chechen jihad is amongst the most momentous of the Islamic world, and in the Syrian revolution a good amount of Chechens are fighting against the Assad regimen. One journalist gives this description of the austerity and reclusiveness of the Chechen jihadists in Syria:

I spent a lot of time in the ‘netherworlds’ back in the 80’s.
It is their obligation to lie to protect the rest of the family and to try to deflect any responsibility bak to it from the actions of another member.
It is an obligation to lie to Infidels!
There’s a % of the human population that is capable of these things, and given license to do so by their society’s authority figures, will happily commit these acts. So it’s important that society not sanction mass violence like this, or if they do sanction mass killings that it be carefully cordoned off ritually from the rest of life in that society, usually in uniformed military attacking other uniformed military. I’m glad Uncle Tsarni tells it like it is, but there is a problem in Islam and a problem in Chechnya that some, and too many, people think this sort of thing is really quite ok.
Today’s excuse from the uncle is they had a handler who brainwashed them, and the younger brother fell under the influence of the older.I could get whiplash watching this guy’s stories changing. Uncle, aunt and both parents speak vehemently on any subject. It’s time for the press to stop giving them a platform.
Just trying to deflect attention away from him. His anger could be at being exposed.
I believe he also said Islam is a false religion or something like that.
I am willing to cut the Uncle some slack. I don’t blame Uncles for the actions of their nephews that they have not seen in years.
This is not a family thing. This is brainwashing at a mosque or by a mentor that makes young men think something like this is a good idea. The one kid was already going to school at a University where he probably heard others who hate America, and that’s just the faculty.
Jihad is appealing to a young loser without much on the ball who is resentful that he can’t make it on his own merits.

Good thing it was just everyday gun violence and not muslim terrorism.
We know it wasn't muslim terrorism because the networks, cable news (FOX included), along with the government, have been pounding the mantra about how the Boston Bombings are the first successful act of muslim terrorism on American soil since 9/11/2001.
In fairness to him, he woke up Friday morning after not seeing the brothers for years to not only find out that they were the perps, but also to find half of the DC press corps on his front yard.
I agree. He seemed pretty emphatic in describing his love for America. It seemed genuine and sincere. He obviously was embarrassed and angry.
There we go again with those unsubstantiated "allegations". But isn't the uncle "alleged uncle" and his nephews "alleged nephews". What is in the world of modern journalism not alleged, I ask?
Denounce your terrorist religion, Mr. Uncle, and the American people might believe you. Otherwise, shuttt uppp!
