Agree... Just was separating brass this am when I read this post. Cleaning a batch of 357 Sig now .... Agree on the all components concept right now.
Load what ya have folks....
Hope yer well Marine !
Stay Safe !
“Load what you have...”. Great advice. I was waiting until I had the “right” primers for the .308, the CCI 342s, but now I figure we may never see those again. I’ve got 2,000 Federal Match, though. They’re not recommended for use in an M1A, but I’m going to use them just the same.
They’ll be fine in those Ishapore bolt guns and if I have to push ‘em through the Springfield, well so be it.
As for .45ACP, well I’ve got 10 boxes of various bullets. Was trying to find the most accurate load. Now I figure, just get ‘em made. They’ll be accurate enough. I’m not going to use them for pistol matches anyway.
Mrs. L will soon be rolling in .44 Mag and Spl. I didn’t realize how much brass for her I had. About 1,700 between the two by my count. I stocked up on 210 grain Sierra’s back before things went crazy. It’s a nice pill that packs plenty of punch when sent through the tube by 9 grains of Bullseye.
Every time I look in that closet I find more components. Last night I found an entire sack full of .380 brass and lead round nose. I don’t even OWN a .380! LOL.
I guess being a pack rat and a scrounger has some advantages.
The last of the Reloader 12 will be gone by tomorrow, IMR 3031 too, probably. Next weekend we deplete the Bullseye and Unique.
Take care my friend. Check six.
