The entire city of Boston and most of its surrounding neighborhoods are on lockdown. Authorities have been all but begging residents to stay home and businesses to stay closed. And yet reports started to creep up that there was an exception: Dunkin' Donuts. The chain is an institution in the Boston area (it was founded 10 miles away), and Buzzfeed has now confirmed that four of its locations are open in Watertown, the area police are most heavily searching for bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
Around noon, the chain released a statement explaining itself: "At the direction of authorities, select Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the Boston area are open to take care of the needs of law enforcement and first responders," it wrote. Naturally, it won't be charging those first responders for their coffee fix, either; the chain has confirmed on Twitter that it is serving these emergency workers "free coffee & product." All of which basically proves that Boston, even at a time like this, is still Boston.
Cop: "You leave that counter and your a dead man."
Is it in the cops union contract? Just kidding, great PR for DD.
What you wanna bet Dzhokhar Tsarnaev ain’t gonna be found at the Dunkin’ Donuts?
I don’t eat donuts anymore, but the coffee is ok.
so much for the man hunt
I’m listening to a broadcast saying that these two had nothing to do with the 7 Eleven robbery now —
It’s easy to pick on the cops - especially with the well-worn donut thing - but this time, I’d give ‘em all the donuts - even free donuts - they want.
Ditto.
Consider how the country would respond to 5 or 10 low level attacks. The terrorists win.

Back when ‘we’ had the DC Bushwacker (’they’ called them Sniper, but Sniper is a legitimate job and career), I had opined that if one were to set up 10-15 such teams around the country, it would make the ‘duchy of Grand Fenwick’ takeover of NYC look like a picnic.
Of course, part of the reason they stayed ‘uncaught’ for so long was they were both dumber than a sack of rocks and the particular LEO in charge didn’t appear much brighter.
The pathetic leftists in boston seem to have no issue with still being on lockdown since early this morning. And exactly how did the brother escape? Whatever he used to flee the scene where he ran over his brother should have been filled with lead. Unbelievable flustercluck up there.
They sure shot the hell out of terrorist #1
I think I heard he also had a bomb strapped on. That's got to leave a mark.
I call the people who frequent the place Dunkin Dumba$$es. Horrid coffee. Better and cheaper can be made at home.
Kudo's to the one staying open for the Officers...
My FIL has a retired coffee taste tester as a nieghbor and says Starbucks is awful but Dunkin is good coffee....
People are saying these two animals shut down an entire American city. They didn’t. Our government did that. One can argue the merits of the decision but it was government issued, and seems to be acceptable to 99% of the sheeple, too.
