When 8th grade student Jared Marcum got dressed for school this morning, he says he had no idea that his pro-Second Amendment shirt would initiate what he calls a fight over his First Amendment rights.
It was the image of a gun printed on Jareds t-shirt that sparked a dispute between a Logan Middle School teacher and Jared, that ended with Jared suspended, arrested and facing two charges, obstruction and disturbing the education process, on his otherwise spotless record.
Jareds father Allen Lardieri says hes angry he had to rush from work to pick his son up from jail over something he says was blown way out of proportion.

What do they mean, “disturbing the education process?”
The “education process” is already disturbed, because of incidents like these.

Separation of school and state is the goal. I’m generally OK with universal vouchers a la Holland.
He could always see if a more principle lawyer will take his case pro bono.
If liberals refuse to revoke common core. The next president should make gun safety classes a requirement for graduation.
If the shirt’s message was against school rules, why couldn’t the principal have simply made the kid turn it inside out?
It’s obvious that there’s a larger, more oppressive agenda going on here.
Just the other day some FReeper was arguing with me on a Pam Geller thread, he/she didn’t think that freedom of speech was in dire need of defending....
