When 8th grade student Jared Marcum got dressed for school this morning, he says he had no idea that his pro-Second Amendment shirt would initiate what he calls a fight over his First Amendment rights.
It was the image of a gun printed on Jareds t-shirt that sparked a dispute between a Logan Middle School teacher and Jared, that ended with Jared suspended, arrested and facing two charges, obstruction and disturbing the education process, on his otherwise spotless record.
Jareds father Allen Lardieri says hes angry he had to rush from work to pick his son up from jail over something he says was blown way out of proportion.

Thank God, I was finished with public schools 40 years ago, before Communist indoctrination became the norm. This country needs a hard reboot.
Perhaps a flood of phone calls to that school with a heads-up that we will donate to that family’s lawsuit against not only that school but the individual teacher might focus their minds on just how wrong they are....

The publicity over this will “disrupt the education process” even further, I’ll bet.
Arrested????
School officials should be arrested for wasting taxpayer money and the cops time. This is no different than the lady who called the cops because McDonalds messed up her food order.
Our public education system is a lost cause with administrators like these.
First Amendment applies. Government issuing punishment for constitutionally protected speech, especially without the benefit of a specific policy framework, would work just fine as a basis for action. Still would need to navigate the precedents carefully, Tinker, Fraser, Hazelwood, etc. But doable.
As for cost, there are any number of con law firms, mostly for Christian legal fights, that are donation driven, and might well be able to help out on a pro bono basis. Furthermore, lots of lawyers right now hungry for any kind of work. Trust me on this. The kid could get help for way less than 500/hr. Just needs to shop a bit.
The teacher, the principal and the cop who arrested this young man should be arrested for child abuse, false imprisonment and false arrest. Then, they should all be sued. Time to play this game using their rules.
Here, explain the cops’ actions in this one. Arrested a kid for wearing a gun t-shirt. Really?

There should be legal consequences for these hostile actions against the children.
The kids are forced to attend these schools, be rated and qualified by these schools, and effectively have their opportunities in life dictated by these schools. It is #ing unnerving that a kid makes a controversial gesture or where’s a 2A shirt, and subsequently gets a record!!!
How the Hell are we to respond? There’s got to be some type of legal path that can be taken to prevent these PC abuses against the children.
His arrest was unwarranted.

The school, and the police who arrested should be sued for discrimination.
Pretty close to true, but the grammar and spelling are too good. Try “Obama is you god, you parents is stewpid”, etc.
Take a look at some teacher-dominated websites some time. It’s embarrassing.
You've never heard of Legal Shield?
Careful. That last sentence fragment can get you arrested. For failure to talk right, or some such.
If they arrest you for an NRA shirt, they would lynch you for a shirt daring to mention the Constitution. That’s far worse hate speech. H
But their sheeple constituents will, in the form of higher property taxes!
Or maybe just have the local government declare bankruptcy. Welsh! Plaintiffs out of luck. Retirees out of luck. Taxpayers off the hook!
I'm a taxpayer.
Looks like Mom did just that.
