As police continue to search Boston for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old believed to be partly responsible for the Boston Marathon bombings along with his older brother Tamerlan, a key question remains unanswered: What motivated the brothers? Each of them has left possible clues online. Tamerlan, who was killed in a shootout earlier today, appears to have been sympathetic to Islamist radicalism.

Fundamentalism != Radicalism.
there are actually morons out there trying to figure out a motive???? they’re muslims, end of inquiry....
The motive is obvious. See their indoctrination book for further details.
What motivated them? As usual, the Christian hating leftist media is completely clueless.
those who use this question should understand that if one lived up in Cambridge MA and other areas around there then they would be radical too.
It’s a cess pit of communism , socialism and racial left over 60’s hippies.
Gosh, I can’t imagine what could have motivated a radical Muslim to throw bombs at innocent people. Must have been the Tea Party.
This whole fiasco is a joke.
They only came to light after a failed car jacking the dopes.
They then get in to a shoot out and still one of them gets away.
Police from all counties and towns as well as feds are there, thousands of them and still they do not have them.
Agree. The End.
Timur, Tarmashirin Khan, Emir Timur (Persian: تیمور Timūr, Chagatai: Temür "iron"; 9 April 1336 18 February 1405), historically known as Tamerlane
(from Persian: تيمور لنگ, Timūr-e Lang, Aksak Timur "Timur the Lame" in Turkish), was a Turkic ruler. He conquered West, South and Central Asia and founded the Timurid dynasty. He was the grandfather of Ulugh Beg, who ruled Central Asia from 1411 to 1449, and the great-great-great-grandfather of Babur Beg, founder of the Mughal Empire, which ruled South Asia for centuries.
Timur envisioned the restoration of the Mongol Empire of Genghis Khan. Unlike his predecessors Timur was also a devout Muslim who referred to himself as the Sword of Islam, converting nearly all the Borjigin leaders to Islam during his lifetime. His armies were inclusively multi-ethnic. During his lifetime Timur would emerge as the most powerful ruler in the Muslim world after defeating the Mamluks of Egypt and Syria, the emerging Ottoman Empire and the declining Sultanate of Delhi. Timur had also decisively defeated the Christian Knights Hospitaller at Smyrna; styling himself a Ghazi.[15] By the end of his reign Timur had also gained complete control over all the remnants of the Chagatai Khanate, Ilkhanate, Golden Horde and even attempted to restore the Yuan dynasty.
Timur's armies were feared throughout Asia, Africa, and Europe, sizable parts of which were laid to ruin by his campaigns. Scholars estimate that his military campaigns caused the deaths of 17 million people, amounting to about 5% of the world population.
On the other hand, Timur is also recognized as a great patron of art and architecture, as he interacted with Muslim intellectuals such as Ibn Khaldun and Hafiz-i Abru.
> Brothers Tsarnaev...
So it is the Muslim brotherhood after all that’s responsible.
Remember Barry’s initial speech? Perhaps he slipped up when he said that ‘we need to know WHY they did this’? What did Barry already know? The WHY only seems to be important when it’s a LIB doing the atrocity.
The media hope that this would turn out to be some disaffected white male were engaged in serious wishful thinking. Disgruntled “lone wolf” white guys have typically been behind mass shootings, particularly school shootings, and almost always end up killing themselves before capture. This type of bombing is the MO of jihadists who, contrary to the media spin, are not always engaged in suicide missions. There are hundreds of dead American and NATO soldiers who died at the hand of IEDs which did not involve a suicide attack. Chris Matthews and his ilk were hoping, beyond hope that this was some card carrying NRA member and were so blinded by their hatred of middle America that they were incapable of making a rational assessment of the facts.
It p!sses me off the left always needs a motive for these things. Hey we know what it is Jihad.
Are you writing in C++?

The name “Dzhokar” is interesting. He may have been named for Chechen separatist president Dzhnokar Dudaev, who was killed by a Russian guided missile in 1996. If this kid is 19 years old, then he would have been born in 1994 during de facto Chechen independence. I think that his family must have anti-Russian sympathies in order to name him Dzhokar.
It’s the post 9/11 “ WHY DO THEY HATE US??? WHAT ARE WE DOING THAT MAKES THEM DO THESE THINGS?” anguished handwringing all over again.
Of course, if it really had been Tea Party people who did it, there would be none of this “search for motive” from the media. It would be nothing but “Conservatives: Threat or menace” all the time.
in the released store video of them, there is a women in a yellow jacket with large backpack, could this be the girlfriend I wonder?
