That sounds beautiful and the perfect house. Is it warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer?
OMG no...beyond its defensive value, it’s a nightmare.
Hot in the summer, cold and very drafty in the winter.
Not a single straight line or square angle in the whole place.
Windows too deep to even see out of.
Seriously creepy dirt root cellar.
Scary attic.
The history of the place alone is unnerving.
Some of the pioneers didn’t make it to the fort during Indian raids so you know folks died badly here.
