Since these guys were also guilty of robbing a 7-11 last night...which led to the chase by the police and resulted in the killing of Suspect #1. Why do news commentators keep asking...Why did they stay in the area?

Well, since they had to rob a 7-11, obviously they don't have any money. Probably no car, or enough for a ticket on a commercial vehicle to get out of there. Suspect#2 still at large, armed, and probably no way to leave the area.. Obviously desperate, dangerous, hungry and broke.

I hope all shopkeepers are well armed - Suspect#2 might be looking for Skittles and Iced Tea.

Wednesday: Suspect questioned, or deported, or released, or something.
Thursday: Suspects identified, wanted posters splashed around the world.
Friday: Shoot out. Car chases. Crashes. Grenades. One dead now; the other will be dead soon.

It's like a Hollywood script. They should have been Albanian.

Sounds like a mini war has broken out in one of our oldest, most sophisticated cities.

Better make sure we get the guns out of every citizen’s hands.

They don’t need to defend themselves.

And ‘getting guns off the streets’ will make the streets safer.

David Lawrence With a bomb strapped to his chest, one of the Boston Marathon suspects was killed early Friday after he and his accomplice brother robbed a 7-Eleven, shot a police officer to death, carjacked an SUV and hurled explosives in an extraordinary firefight with law enforcement, authorities told NBC News.
The second suspect — the one in the white hat in photos released by the FBI — was on the loose, and police ordered people in the Boston suburbs to stay inside and businesses not to open. Boston shut down its buses and subway system for the hunt.
The suspects are Chechen brothers with the last name Tsarnaev, law enforcement officials told NBC News. The suspect at large, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, is 19 and has a Massachusetts driver’s license, they said. Law enforcement officials told NBC News that both men are legal permanent residents of the United States, had been here about a year and had military experience.
