WCVB: Gunfire, explosions reported in Watertown neighborhood of Boston - http://bit.ly/11jwbKG
Three block perimeter to be established around 98 Spruce in Watertown, Mass
Maybe he didn’t escape but is hiding in a house or a hostage situation.
The reports were that he drove past the police vehicle blockade in the stolen SUV. That’s why I asked the question.
There will be a controlled explosion at a building on Norfolk Street in Cambridge that police obviously worry could be booby-trapped http://live.boston.com/Event/Live_blog_Explosion_in_Copley_Square
Mind the hallucinations, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.
What is so odd is that they didn’t flee after planting bombs. They stayed around to see what they did. As people ran away they quietly walked away after the explosions at the marathon.
It’s been a bumpy ride since 9/11.
Things haven’t felt “real” since then.
Me either!
I read up thread an account of someone's home being searched (and not nicely) and one of the residents had a gun held to his head while being questioned.
These guys are out of control if you ask me, if this is true.
Following you guys report scanner is soooo Mich better than lousy fox news. They are so far behind breaking news. And they are clueless they don’t know why a “Chechnyan” would hate america. They never mention his Muslim faith
Really?!?
Just...dayum.
Guess I got my own question answered, then.
There was a video up of part of last night’s firefight. It did not look too foggy but when you got someone firing at you, the last thing you are going to do is pop your head up. About half way through the video there was someone asking: do you have a rifle....handgun? I don’t know whether that was between the officers or from the officers to a spectator (here the support fire would have left no doubt). The suspect was losely contained on one side. I would not fault the police here, there were not 9000 on the scene of the fighting, probably 5-8 one man units.
.And of course the Mass Transit Officer that was seriously wounded.

And they want to take away all our guns? Gonna take a lotta POH-lice.
Did they ever find the car he escaped in? Where did it go?
On another subject about our porous borders.... Not only do they come in as illegals we bring them in and then lose them.
As of 12/2010, according to an article in “Air and Space” we brought 106 candidates from Afghanistan to train them as pilots.
46 went AWOL, 22 were found in Canada. The rest? Don’t know.
3 have become pilots and returned to Afghanistan. That’s right, 3 of the original 106 carefully screened candidates.
The remainder have learned to game the system. Seems we bring them to Lackland first to learn to speak English well enough to continue with training. They have an unlimited amount of time to learn English but have never seemed to get the hang of it yet... that’s right, they still have not learned English.
We are the stupidest people on the face of the planet.
Asking a question is not criticism. There were clearly more than a handful of police present. And there was only one person they were pursuing once the older brother was shot. There should be an operational review after this is finished and if any flaws in the operation then improvements can be made for the future. I’m not calling for anyone to be vilified or disciplined, but there is always room for improvement and for adding to the knowledge base on how to handle future operations.
Xactly.

This is really getting bizarre.
If this isn’t him, is it one of his comrades or is it just some idiot jumping on the bandwagon to have some sick twisted fun?
I’m glad I’m not in an LEO in Boston today, talk about chaos!
