The master suite is being phased out not from our homes, but from our lexicon.
A survey of 10 major Washington, D.C.-area homebuilders found that six no longer use the term master in their floor plans to describe the largest bedroom in the house. They have replaced it with owners suite or owners bedroom or, in one case, mastre bedroom.
Why? In large part for exactly the reason you would think: Master has connotation problems, in gender (it skews toward male) and race (the slave-master).

Liberals don't understand the uniqueness of male-female connections.
They always want to complicate things.

Fixed.

Builders are very unlikely to be squeamish about the names of things. Architects, on the other hand, are very likely to suck up and adopt the latest PC terms.
So what am I suppose to call my Slave Quarters?
ha ha so true.
It shows how far gone the radical left are when they explode over what is male and female and cannot understand that.
I think it is because they are idiots, and I'm right.
Maybe the “big bedroom” can be called the “pitcher/catcher” room, or maybe, conversely, the “catcher/pitcher” room!
All depends on how you wish to use it.
Does this mean the Master of Arts degree I earned must now be called the Owner of Arts degree???
The one that really causes me to cringe though is when a couple states “we are pregnant”. There is no “we” in pregnant. She’s pregnant, the guy’s going to be a father.
I suppose in some instances in this new world though he could actually be pregnant because I’m not really sure any more who is really a he and who is really a she.
I’m so tired of all the changes. The man is to be the Master of the house. The big bedroom and big bathroom are for the Master The pink room is for the little girl, the blue for the little boy. Just suck it up and leave it alone.
I worked in a sawmill for many years. The hydraulic device that turned the logs on the carriage was called the nigger. That’s just what it was called. Nobody thought anything of it.
One day, one of the bigshots came around and somebody mentioned that we were having trouble with the nigger. We were informed on the spot that from that time forward, we were to call it the “log turner”. The bigshot left and we kept using the “n-word” for the hydraulic device that turned the logs on the carriage. To the best of my knowledge, no feelings were hurt in the process.
I wonder what the PC name would be for a pitman.
