Were there two other amendments that were supposed to be voted on today? If so, I assume both of those were voted down as well?
Surprisingly, a pro-2nd Amendment amendment that protects state CHL holders' privacy from the federal government passed by a high percentage.
The amendments mean nothing if the bill doesn't pass, and the bill is being withdrawn from further consideration.
Only sleeping. Reid can bring it back to full consciousness whenever he feels he has got enough votes.
I don’t think they were voted on at all. And there were about 22 more amendments.
Here is a list: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/L?d113:./temp/~bdaYskA:1[1-23]%28Amendments_For_S.649%29&./temp/~bdO72o|/home/LegislativeData.php|
I was under the impression that His Cadaverhood, the dishonorable Harry Reid, pulled the base bill, S.649, which all the amendments would have been amending. With no base bill, what's to amend?
