Possibly true. People frequently have more than one motivation for doing things, but I can't get inside their thought processes nor would I want to. Just judging their actions, I find their actions to be despicable.
Furthermore, not all of the parents of the slain children are doing this. Some are saying (and try to find this in the media) that none of the gun restrictions that the cryers for hire are touting with the jug eared narcissistic POS would have made any difference in what happened in Newtown. I heard this on the radio yesterday morning - not the description of the turd in the white house - the other thing.

On the face of it, yes, absolutely agree. And it very well could be that some of them are Dems first, everything else second. Look at Elizabeth Edwards, dying from cancer, and using the sympathy angle that situation created to try and get her dirtbag husband elected POTUS - until the Girlfriend with Love Child came to light and exposed him for the POS that he is.
Lautenberg is another one; this old POS dragged his ass away from the hospital chemo to vote FOR taking away guns. And somehow, that’s “bravery”...
Grief affects different people in a multitude of ways. I’d like to hope - and believe - that these families are just thrashing out.
I did hear the one father from Newtown make that statement - that nothing they are trying to pass would have stopped that kid from murdering his mother and killing all those children. Talk radio had him on a couple times. That’s the only place you’ll hear it, or maybe Fox as well.
