If you were on the radio when that happened, you could easily say a bomb went off - it wouldn’t mean a real bomb actually was planted.

Maybe the dispatcher said, “Go ahead, burn it down.”?

Waco area, anniversary of Waco massacre, Hitler’s birthday, anniversary of OKC bombing.... nah, just an accident.

I’m guessing someone who doesn’t know what really happened and assumed it was a bomb. You hear stuff like this on police scanners more often than you think and it turns out it wasn’t what the RP thought it was.
While it is possible it WAS a bomb, in light of other events this week, it is also possible he just made a false assumption. We will have to wait and see.

I agree...seems to early to be determining that it’s a bomb....let’s hope they were just speculating.

He says “A bomb *just* went off and is really upset. Could be an explosion of another sort, not a bomb, IMO.

Not jumping to conclusion, myself, at this time.
Prayers for all in this area. May God Bless and Comfort each one affected.

I can't say weather it was a bomb or not, but very clearly, 15 seconds into the recording the firefighter on location states that a bomb just went off in the building.
It takes a high explosive to initiate a low explosive like ammonium nitrate.

AS is often the case the CT crowd speaks with little info and even less reason.
Yes it could be a bomb, that the fire dept was at the scene fighting a fire (with video from home owner) and that Ammonium Nitrate is quite volatile when handled in a manner like oh say a building fire should of coarse be ignored because a snippet on radio used the word bomb instead of explosion.

Not really we used to blow up containers of the stuff on the farm or use it to demolish things, it just needs an igniter or good size spark.

agreed and it would make sense that the guy would have bombs on the brain considering Boston.
