If Reid voted for it, he cannot reintroduce it.

after Boston this didn’t have a chance. Trying to restrict American’s rights to defend themselves after a terrorist attack where people are blown apart is just not going to fly.

Obama will blame the vote on the bomber distraction : )
To: AtlasStalled
I’m not celebrating yet. Reid may find a way to make this a simple majority vote and ram it through somehow.

There has been a literal non-stop pummeling since late December. And we still prevailed. They shot their wad, and we still prevailed. And come the mid-term election there'll be hell to pay for the RINOs that turned on us...

My prediction - all amendments will FAIL regardless of which side sponsors them. The issue has completely polarized the votes in the Senate so no gun conrol bill will emerge from the kabuki theater being put on by Obama and Reid. Likely so. Cruz Amendment being counted now.

He switched his vote once he saw it was going to fail?

No worries, the man-child in the WH will do it through executive order. To paraphrase, It’s always tempting for him to just do things on his own.

Yup. McCain and Collins were a given to be for it. Toomey was talked into “bipartisanship” and now he’ll never be trusted again. The same with Rubio on Immigration.
