President Barack Obama wants you to know that he did not help his BFFs Beyonce and Jay-Z get visas for their Cuban vacation.
The first couple of R&B took a trip two weeks ago to Havana, upsetting several lawmakers who were concerned with how they got permission to go to the country that Americans can only visit for educational or cultural purposes. Last week, the U.S. Department of Treasury confirmed that the pair had permission from the government to go to Cuba.
After the backlash, Jay-Z released Open Letter, a song ripping those who criticized their vacation.
In one of the lyrics, Jay raps that Obama talked to him about the backlash:Obama said chill, you gonna get me impeached/ But you dont need this **** anyway/ Chill with me on the beach.

Obama can sequester and shut down half the government. But he always has time (and our money) for his thug friends.

Damn right! He’s to busy planning his next golf outing and private vacation with Reggie to have time to worry about anyone or anything else.

"Obama has better things to do than plan vacations for Beyonce and Jay-Z" This is a very juvenile statement. You would think that the president of the US would be a little more sophisticated than that.

You would think that the president of the US would be a little more sophisticated than that. I'd like to think that. But since we have elected a pimp-daddy from Chicago with his ghetto lifestyle, this is what we get....

He also has better things to do than attend the funeral of 1 of modern history’s greatest leaders, or even send a high official.

So his administration is charged with incompetence and/or favoritism in granting permission to go to Cuba, which is a hot button issue, and his response is that he has better things to do than focus on the issue. In essence, his answer to the reporter is “F.U.” Can you imagine if Bush responded this way to a reporter?

The media obsession with this stupid story is so idiotic. Jay-Z went to Cuba. Who cares????Because it is illegal and if the POTUS violated the law to help one of his biggest donors get there, it is a big f'in deal and quite impeachable for a republican president and a non-story for a dem president.

...upsetting several lawmakers who were concerned with how they got permission to go to the country that Americans can only visit for educational or cultural purposes. What?
I had a friend who used to go there twice a year, traveling through Mexico or Bermuda, for hookers, cigars and getting drunk.
I guess that is cultural, right?
