Boston Marathon bomber planted SEVEN devices but only two went off: One ´suspect´ held, hunt

Police confirmed that at least three people lost their lives in today´s deadly Boston Marathon terror attack as counter-terrorism sources in the city revealed that seven devices were planted across the city - but only two detonated. Law enforcement in the city said that they found what they believed were five additional, undetonated explosive devices around the Boston area. The additional devices were uncovered as police frantically inspected all suspicious packages, many left behind as runners and pedestrians rushed away from the scene in the aftermath of the blasts.

We are learning that the bomb was made out of a pressure cooker. There was talk that such a method was being used in Afghanistan. They say that the method of bomb construction tells much about the person making them. I hope they get all their pieces together and slam this guy (or guys).

Fox is showing a suspicious package on the ground at the point of explosion. If the second bomb was on the ground, the leg injuries would be expected.
I would say that the bomber wanted to maim and not kill, but I think it is more likely that the motivation for placement on the ground was that it was the easiest place to leave the pack wihout attracting attention.

Whenever the left says that people shouldn’t have guns because of what happened in Newtown..we should come right back and say “Well if that is the case then people shouldn’t have pressure cookers because look at what happened in Boston.” Leftists will never understand the most important fact..if an evil person wants to kill they will find a way to do it, with a gun, with a knife, with a pressure cooker, it doesn’t matter..evil is evil, period..don’t screw the rest of us over and infringe on our civil liberties because of the actions of pure evil

They said on Tuesday that there were only two bombs. No other unexploded devices were found.

We can rule in the al-Qaeda. Both bombs went off perfectly. Contrary to other reports, the official word is there were no other bombs found.

The bombers don’t have to smuggle bombs over the border. They can make them in the kitchen using hydrogen peroxide. They are triacetonetriperoxide (TATP) and hexamethylene triperoxide diamine (HMTD).

I think somebody accessed an Islamist web site and was able to get blueprints for an IED that used ball bearings as means to generate sharpnel. It sounds more like an bomber inspired by al-Qaeda, something terrorism experts are increasing fearing since the perp may not be able to be traced back to any al-Qaeda connections.
