Authorities are investigating a report of two explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
There were two booms heard from near the finish line inside the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel.
It happened around 2:45 p.m. outside Marathon Sports on Boylston Street, according to WBZ-TVs Lisa Hughes, who was near the scene covering the marathon, WBZ-TV reports.
There were two incredibly powerful explosions just seconds apart, Hughes said.
Some people were reportedly missing limbs while others had blood on their heads. Race officials have locked down and are now evacuating the hotel because of the report.

President Barack Obama has been notified of the explosions and the White House says he is monitoring events. I am sure we all feel better know this.

I believed the photo deserved its own thread with a warning. Was I wrong?

Obama to soon issue an apology to whoever caused this. They must have been understandably upset over some youtube video.

One thing that is definite ... no news organization will say the word “terrorist.”

The photo is at the same location, with the people, and the blood. The picture you posted is the same location but with a cleared scene. What was the point? Shock value?

Well you still didn’t answer did you? What’s with the anger? The picture is different it needed to be posted, but I wanted to warn people that it was not a nice picture and you still have a problem. I could have just posted the pic on a thread and let the cards fall as they may, but I made an effort to warn people, why is that a bad thing?

With the other threads going, you could have posted the photo with the warning. So yes, I do believe you are wrong. But I’m not a moderator, so my thought is irrelevant.
