I'm confused. The VP of the Second Amendment Foundation helped write the bill and is proudly proclaiming that it is filled with things to check before someone can exercise their 2A rights? That it's perfect for gun control advocates?

My guess - since it would never make it out of the House, it’s so they can get the losers on record with their position and throw them out next time around.

So, after all the lawyerspeak, he’s claiming that this bill is basically pro-gun? I’ll think I’ll stick to my guns and skepticism.

If the 2nd amendment falls prey to the socialists, the rest of the Constitution is doomed, and you are at the mercy of the socialist regime. Never give up the ability to defend yourself against tyranny, because the alternatives are far worse. Any law in direct conflict with the US Constitution is worth approximately jack shit. It's you vs. them, who's side do you want to win?

Folks need to listen to the entire video. While none of us is happy about any gun bill going thru, it does sound like they’ve put lots of good things, good protections, in this that will benefit gun owners. I just hope it doesn’t get gutted & stuffed with bad stuff when it hits the Senate floor. Always a possibility...

I think that what he was calling ‘checks’ were the checks being installed on the feds to keep background checks from being turned into a gun registration program.

This all seems very mysterious and unclear.
I can’t tell what the heck is going on.
Is the SAF guy betraying the 2nd amendment?
Is the SAF guy helping protect the 2nd amendment?
just damn
To: GenXteacher
Anyone who truly supports the 2nd amendment would be standing their ground on elimination of background checks altogether.

What we need to understand is that the left has infiltrated almost every group and is sowing the final seeds of our demise, must say however I won’t do well in a re-education camp, I think it is the I don’t like idiots thing.

It is the Senate. Gottlieb won’t recognize it after they get done with it.

Folks need to listen to the entire video. While none of us is happy about any gun bill going thru, it does sound like theyve put lots of good things, good protections, in this that will benefit gun owners. Bull, bull, BULL. This is exactly what was said about the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act that gave us national safe passage of firearms (ignored by states such as New York and New Jersey) in exchange for closing the National Firearms Registry, closing lawful civilian ownership of new automatic weapons.
That was said about the 1994 Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act (A.K.A Clintoon's Assault Weapons Ban) that banned "assualt weapons" and magazines over 10 rounds capacity in exchange for clarification of who is a "banned" individual and for stiffer gun related crime penalties.
No, the answer is NO EFFEN' WAY to any new law. NO!

Alan Gottlieb is one of most pro gun rights person in the US. If any had anything to do with writing the bill some good should come out of it.
I rather see straight constitutional carry but we are where we are.
