This is exactly what was said about the 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act that gave us national safe passage of firearms (ignored by states such as New York and New Jersey) in exchange for closing the National Firearms Registry, closing lawful civilian ownership of new automatic weapons.
That was said about the 1994 Public Safety and Recreational Firearms Use Protection Act (A.K.A Clintoon's Assault Weapons Ban) that banned "assualt weapons" and magazines over 10 rounds capacity in exchange for clarification of who is a "banned" individual and for stiffer gun related crime penalties.

We’ve already got Republicans caving in the Senate & Boehner caving in the House. This is better than a bill put together by Feinstein & Schumer.
I am also outraged that ANY bill is going thru, but until we can get this country back from the leftists & RINO’s, we are going to see something go thru. Sad, but true.
