Obama and his clique of leftists are politically very savvy. If things are going south for them on the domestic front, there is always a chance they’d view attacking Iran more favorable. Everything is politics for this crew. Everything. They don’t utter a word without thinking of the political ramifications.
I can certainly see a scenario in mid 2014 where Obamacare is failing and the Democrats face losing the Senate. Attacking Iran and rallying the American people might look very tempting for them.

Iran will mock us, ignore any sanctions, proceed with their nuke-building, taunt us militarily, threaten us, impugn our Christianity -- you name it.
But Obama will proclaim his diplomatic efforts to be hugely successful and the lapdogs will report what a swell guy he is.
Then, someday, we will have our Gomer Pyle moment with Iran, just as we had with North Korea today. They ALREADY HAVE their nukes! Su-priiiise, su-priiiiise!!!!

Peres is stupid. If DC let North Korea and Pakistan get the bomb, it has to let Iran get the bomb.
Peres is himself an embarrassment. And a serious liability. But he “knows the leftist/progressivist/communist/socialist lingo” and is thus seen by some, not yours truly, as having some utility. I understand “we want to kill you all” lingo without need of translation by Peres. Well past time he retired, and he can take olmert and Livni with him I think.
I wish I had your confidence. As a patriotic, Constitution-supporting, law-abiding American, I will be amazed if Obama makes it through the next three years without launching unprovoked attacks on people just like me. But if you mean Obama isn't going to attack his allies in Tehran, then I agree with you.

The only way Obama would ever attack Iran is if they all converted to Christianity or Judaism.
No doubt Obama will attack Americans like you and I, the proof of that is that he hasn’t stopped attacking us since the idiots of this country elected him.
But he isn’t going to attack and Communists or Muslims.
He is one of them.
